Also you can get dot for 39.99 price matched with tesco

Or £124 for the pair at Argos; plus a £10 voucher - thanks to collectorcol.

Are these price matches only in store or can you call?

As long as the competitor has stock, same colour etc. They generally don't match if you use a voucher code to get the price cheaper at a competitor.

On a none price realted note I've been really impressed with Amazon recently. I have 2 dot and 2 Google Home. The google home only supports Google calander but Amazon now support pretty much everything so I have google and my office 365 accounts linked to the dots.

Yes - sorry - i'm looking for Dot's (someone mentioned above that JL Price Match Dots at £39.99)

I thought very carefully about this: 1) The speakers are quite tinny sounding when playing loud music - tech review 2) if I need lights on I will get up and turn them on - I don't wish to be a lazy coach potato. 3) I have news and weather on my iPhone. 4) if I need to order anything from Amazon I quickly do it via the app. So even at £89 this is an average overpriced gadget. No thanks!

A few weeks ago, I would have agreed with you. However, if you save yourself a bit of money and buy a dot, you can connect it to your own speakers / sound system. Assuming you are a prime subscriber, you then have access to a huge music collection with excellent sound quality. Being able to walk into a room and say Alexa, play (insert your own choice of music) or to have friends around and allow them to choose the music, is a revelation.
