This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

If you're in the market for an Echo Dot in about a months time then this seems like a decent deal direct from Amazon.

You need to sign up for Amazon Music Unlimited Family Plan using the link, once your free trial ends (30 days I believe) you are charged £14.99 for your first month.
Within a week of the trial ending you will receive an email on how to redeem your Echo Dot for £0.99.

A little hassle and you'll want to make sure you cancel the plan before a 2nd payment is taken.

But you do get to listen to as much music as you want until your device arrives!

Amazon firing back at the Spotify/google home mini deal from a few weeks back
i have this ,,,, the initial excitement will wane away after a few months . Now its just sitting idle .
Also saw a news report where it said Amazon employees listen to the recorded voice to improve voice recognition
I realise I am being overly cautious here, but strictly speaking, according to the terms, when we become "eligible for the offer" (i.e. after the free trial ends), the offer will have expired.

• Members within a free trial need to wait until they have converted to a paid membership, at the end of the free trial, before becoming eligible for the offer of an Echo Dot for £0.99.

• Offer valid from Tuesday 23 April 09.00 BST to Friday 24 May 09.00 BST. Device must be redeemed by Friday 30 June 09.00 BST.

Student Prime is not Amazon Music Unlimited. You can have Student Prime and sign up for the Amazon Music Unlimited family plan without needing to change your regular prime subscription.

It's all a bit confusing, but this should help:

Nice find op!
Nice, Thank you.
Looks good to me, does say subject to availability, so lets hope I will be able to get one!
Thanks op.
I have no free trial available so have signed up, hopefully I'll get an email soon on how to claim.
Can you cancel after first months?
Did anyone have to do anything to get a code, I just selected the family plan?

Likewise. Assuming, if all works ok, it means the instructions to claim will be sent out sooner.

Hopefully, I didn't have to actually do anything different when signing up though, I clicked the get started link and then the family. I've screen shotted the promo and if I don't hear anything in a week I'll be checking with them.

I wouldn’t worry. The terms clearly state:

“Members within a free trial need to wait until they have converted to a paid membership, at the end of the free trial, before becoming eligible for the offer of an Echo Dot for £0.99.”

But it also clearly states that the offer ends on May 24th, hence anyone signing up now for a free trial would only become "eligible for the offer" after the offer end date - which isn't much good.

If that's not what Amazon intend (and I doubt it is), the terms are written badly.

Echo Dot £0.99 offer is available when you make your first Family Plan payment (after your free trial ends).
Within one week of subscribing, you will receive an email with info on how to redeem the offer.
I've given this a go. I must have already had a trial because I went straight to a paid membership but what I can't seem to find, is any confirmation I've paid anything. I've an email confirming I'm a member but can't see anything within the account about billing. Does anyone know where to find this information?

Yeah same for me
anyway to cancel the free trial?
I can see where the sub is active or where to cancel anyone else found it?

I've got the same issue. Normally, anything linked to Amazon shows up on the main sites order history. For example, my Audible subscription appears alongside my Amazon orders yet no sign of the music subscription and there was no mention of a free trial for me when subscribing so they should have taken payment. I'm a bit confused about the instructions beneath the offer banner as it talks about using the link then entering the promotional code. I didn't enter anything, only followed the instructions in the banner. Did I miss something out in the order process?

To cancel trial go Your Memberships & Subscriptions and on banner below select music subscriptions then you will find the option to cancel subscription...hope this helps

Yeah I agree it's good fun for a few months (definitely worth the money I'd say for it tho) but it does sit idle after that. I recently got the free Google home mini from spotify and I much prefer it the sound quality is much better (a big disadvantage to the echo unless you can be bothered hooking it up to another speaker)
When I click the link it just takes me to the same page, I don’t have a get started option, just an upgrade now option as shown above. But it says I need to click get started to get a code?

I have amazon unlimited, not the family plan tho
Ps we already have 3, we love them! Bigger echo is better sound but the dot is perfectly acceptable. We link them up to play multi room music and through hive we can control our heating and a few sockets too. Kids ask them random questions and love being able to play whatever music they want themselves

The new echo dot sounds way better than the Google home, the old one was the one that sounded terrible.
You have to pay standard postage and packing on top of this... so not 99p lol... read the terms and conditions... I don't trust this deal. A lot can go wrong and it's as clear as mud.

That's exactly as I read it too. You would have had to start the free trial on the 23rd April for you to be able to claim the 99p Dot.

I think everyone gets email with code after 7 days (even the ones on trial), which you'd be able to use after trial (in our case 1.6.) within promotion period until 30.6.
Otherwise it wouldn't make sense because even if you ordered on 23.4. and started trial which ends on 23.5. and you'd still have to wait 7 days to receive that email then no one with trial could participate...

Edit: I was right, just received one...
Edit2: cancelled trial over chat, paid it yesterday and ordered echo in the evening, delivered today.
BONUS: THEY WILL REFUND MY 14.99 ACCORDING TO AMAZON CS. ECHO FOR 99p. BIG thanks!
