Does this mean the ones without the clock will be on clearance or are they keeping both models, is the only difference the clock?

Thinks that's the only comparison. I can do without personally

I wouldn’t mind as long as it can be set to turn off the clock completely at night for use in a bedroom because the light from the clock would annoy me. It can show timers and temperature information too. I’m guessing it will become the standard model and they stop making the others without the clock it seems pointless to have two versions unless the price difference is huge. They want to move into the bedroom and take over as an alarm clock radio.

I believe the clock light is incredibly dim from reviews I've seen.
The brightness of the LED display can be custom set via the Alexa app, or turned off completely if you so desire by asking "Alexa, turn the display off", but crucially there is an ambient light sensor built in that automatically adjusts its brightness automatically depending on how light the environment it is in is.
Also free with Ring Doorbell 2 for those that don't know
Thanks. Ordered 1 to pair with my £0.99 echo dot.
Looks like the one with the clock is only in sandstone.
You love these things @matwalaboy , don't you?
Maximum order total of 2 with Amazon fab deal, heat added

Haha you can say I am officially an addict
Does anyone know what the difference is between the dot and the smart speaker for playing music? That’s all I really want it for - and controlling tv asking questions. Is it worth paying more than double for better sound? The speaker is currently £59.99 - any views helpful - only want it for lounge. Thanks 😘
Argos have matched the price now for the non clock one.
What are the chances of the clock model getting any lower on actual Black Friday?
They’ve got a bit of a cheek showing the previous price as £59.99. It has been at £44.99 with amazon and other places such as Currys and Argos for weeks now.
A quick check just now and those two have price matched the clock model. Argos show the previous price correctly at £44.99

Anyone's guess here mate - but there have been rumours of the non clock going down to £19.99 for prime customers - if that were to happen then I expect the clocks to go to £29.99 - but then these are all rumours right now.

Thanks. Might just hang on a bit then and take out the Prime sub if the item does get reduced.

I have just bought both and the sound on the speaker one is 20x better, well worth the extra money and sounds pretty good in opinion

I'm waiting for the price to reduce to £15 like last year
Can you power these just by USB?
Anyone know how to solve the issue with spotify stopping playing songs after about 2 tracks? Google device is fine but the dot is a pain, it's a known issue and been like it for over a year.
