You mean the 99p one

Did anyone actually get this for 99p? I tried and it said 99p on checkout but the £7.99 music subscription was there on purchases afterwards still a bargain though.

Sell the Dot for £25, keep the plug for £2.50 new user, or £7.50 if existing customer. Great price for a plug.
The £8 deal is long gone, Ring Door Bell was £19.99 at Argos 2 years ago too.
Also available on easy payments with code ELEC3Z

Did you just go on Amazon chat for a refund of the music subscription?
Yup first two refunded no bother; third one took me about 11 tries.

Maybe not everyone owns a time machine and couldn't get, or missed, the 99p ones? Agree about QVC though, they are terrible

Yeah that’s what I’ve done but people say they got it for 99p and not charged the £7.99 for the subscription. I changed the subscription in my basket to 0 yet it still appeared in my purchases, that’s why I asked if anyone else managed to get away with the £7.99. It sounds like the only way people did it was via live chat for a refund.
now sold out but on advanced order for 02/12/19

It's QVC's so called Tech-expert that does my head in "there's so much to talk about in so little time" and then talks about his mum, or his cat, or shows his selfies or gives his jacket lapels a quick tug or comments about something else and says as camply as he can, "Ooooooh, I kno-o-o-o-o-ow"

The guy is a walking cliché with a Mr. Whippy haircut.
Both recently purchased 99p Echo Dots taken to local CEX and sold for £20 cash each.

CEX are selling condition A, brand new Dots for £35 to joe public - I doubt they'll shift many of them with this glut of offers on the Echo Dot gen3. For QVC to also be doing deals on them, it tends to signal Amazon's having a bit of a warehouse clearance, so either there's a gen 4 imminent or the one with the clock display is soon to become mainstream and drop in price, in which case vanilla gen 3 offers will be plentiful.

Might want to check out the more covert plug style Echo Flex - £25. No wires to worry about, out of the way, sound quality isn't going to be its key focus, but it's Amazon trying to get you wanting one in every room.
Amazon data centres analysing everything you do. Can you begin to fathom the trends analysis these guys will be able to do on households across the globe!?

As for the Amazon smart plug, you can get smarter plugs that combine both Alexa & Google assistant functionality for ~ £10. They're not Amazon branded, but they work just as well.
I got this Aneken branded unit which was £7.56 on a lightning deal, currently £11. Works fine no issues automatically reconnecting whenever the router has to be restarted.
This one by SIPAILING is less than £7 non deal price, looks pretty much identical.

I don't think this QVC offer is all that special, especially the non-refundable ~£4 p&p, which is effectively subsidising their 3 installments 'offer'.
If you haven't got the money to buy it outright in one go, maybe you shouldn't be giving in to QVC's attempt to lure you into spending with them to subsidise their new studios in fancy West London, or providing their presenters with lifestyles when they get all this free merchandise. They all claim that they also bought one of whatever they're demonstrating. Pure BS.
They all talk about a second home, or a recent house makeover, or multiple vacations to exotic locations. Very comfortable lifestyles - stuff that is normally the preserve of serious money to back it up with. Money that should have been earnt for offering society something in exchange, or having a talent, except QVC seems to be championing Y list celebrity wannabes to live with all the luxuries life has to offer for spouting carp on the TV trying to make the viewer feel they too must get this product to purchase a glossy magazine lifestyle.

The more I catch airings of QVC, the more I despise the company. I've deleted it & IdealWorld off the TV's channel list.

That's commitment, I tried once and gave up. What do people use these for anyway? The sound is pretty crap as well, and I was getting lots of stuttering when playing music from my phone via bluetooth (its fine to my soundbar). Think I'll be giving this to someone.

Mines been flashing with a yellow ring since I got it, I asked Alexa what my notifications were, "you have no notifications" and the light goes off.
