Or wait for an Elite and get a decent remote with much better …Or wait for an Elite and get a decent remote with much better functionality.Yes, I've had both so am qualified to judge.Almost guaranteed to do much better around black Friday, both products they habitually discount heavily on their 'days'.

You seem like a person who isn't afraid to tell others of his skills. I've sat next to such people on long long long flights so, YES, I'm qualified to recognise one

I would be waiting until black Friday usually have great deals on both harmony and echo products..

The hub on its own is pretty limited, wait for it with the Ultimate remote, much better functionality.

Agreed. There were some good discounts last time. I picked up a Harmony Elite last Black Friday for £115, which is a decent drop from the RRP of £280 (Depending on how accurate that RRP is ). They also had a discount on refurb Dots, so I grabbed one of those to use with it. I'm still not convinced I'm using it to the full extent of its capability, but it's come in very handy after my dog chewed up the original LG remote control and left me with no way to control the TV other than the Harmony/Alexa controls.

A few months on, I got a standard Harmony Hub (No remote with this one) to control the TV upstairs on an Amazon Warehouse deal for £60, but I've had to use the Yonomi app to set up a different set of command controls, because Alexa defaults to thinking I'm trying to control the living room TV if I use the regular voice phrases. Customer support says they're working on getting multiple Harmony hub setups to recognise each other and learn which command is for each unit, but I'll believe it when I see it.

All in all, for the reduced price, I'm happy with it. I wouldn't pay the full price, at least not until they've improved it for tech amateurs like me
