Not a bad price, but probably not that popular now, when the Dot3 is £22 and the Flex is only £20 more.
I voted hot anyway, may be good to use it in the car.

Got a echo input to work with my external speaker, works great but my speaker shuts down after about a half hour or so with no input and need to be turn back on. If my external speaker stayed on it would be better

if your speaker plugs in the wall or you charge it with the phone charger, and if it does not matter to you to stay plugged in all the time, you can use a smart plug to control it with the Dot. This way when your speaker goes off/sleeping mode, you can put it back on with voice control.

For car use what’s the best way to keep this on? How long does it take to re start

Smart plug would not set my controls on external speaker to aux output. it has bluetooth & aux settings. It just goes off after a while when not used. must be a off/sleep mode like you say. If only there was a button key press that turns off sleep mode
Link shows it as £34.95.

I nearly got the Input when it came out a year ago to use it for the same setting. Luckily I realised it will be a problem with the sleep mode and gave up.
Great for use in the car.

In my car, If I have a good wifi connection, it usually takes about 30 seconds from power to ready. It makes a great bluetooth receiver if you have patchy internet.
