Not bad for this price if you use it to connect it to an external speaker or possibly to use it in the car. Otherwise, considering all the lately offers, Eufy Genie and CEX, is worth to get an the one with a speaker. Voted hot anyway!
How does this differ to echo dot features? It has less. Dot having a built in speaker.

Features are the same. You just have to attach your own speaker. This is good as opposed to the dot if you have a proper speaker for music, otherwise a cheaper alternative for Alexa and for controlling smart devices. I was tempted to get one for downstairs where I only control the lights. Did not needed the Dot but got it instead, as it was £16.

*voice control of all firetv sticks (hands free) still not compatible. All other echo models support this.
The sound quality of these on the line out is really poor compared to the chromecast audio
Shame the black one has disappeared. These are useful for landings etc where you might just want to control lights without a full echo and don't need the voice response (also for Sonos) using a masterplug with USB. If you really want to go rogue can also link them to a google home max for Apple Music support (though read today casting is in beta for Apple Music)
Having a clear out before the Keynote on the 25th?
