Another one AO has beaten Amazon on here. These are basically used to add Alexa to your own speakers, without just buying a full on Dot and plugging into the headphone socket.

Not the cheapest ever, I beleive this was lower on Prime day, but can't expect that price again at this stage, tbf

Best thing I've bought this year. Powered into the car USB port and connected via the AUX socket (bluetooth is a nightmare for car stereos where connection with a code is required). Cheap way of getting the full Alexa experience (Spotify, etc, etc) into the car.

Paid a fiver on Prime Day, but would happily pay this and more. Heated.

As these are (I guess) official Amazon devices, do all the features such as drop in and routines work ok on these (unlike in my SONOS Play )?

Cheers
Having problems with mine in the car. It powers up, but then the blue light flashes constantly as if it can't find the mobile WiFi hotspot. It used to work fine and the hotspot is active, so I don't know what else could be wrong with it. The same Input works fine when connected to a mains USB cable in the house, so I wonder if it's an inadequate USB current in the car?

Echo input: Controlling of firetv - any version of the fire stick - isn't supported. Every other echo device is. After a number of calls & chats with Amazon to clarify (It lets you setup & configure - it just doesn't work). They're now updating the description to make this clear. Yet another annoying omission from Amazon.

Oops, yes it's a Sonos One I have.

My routines 'work', but I get an annoying "Audio actions in routines are currently not supported on this device" message.

I use to get those aswell from time to time. Two things worked for me...

1. Delete the routine and add it again
2. Change the order of the devices coming on/off

I have a routine to turn off all hue lights, Tado heating and tplink smart switches when I say "bedtime"...all in all they're is around 14 smart devices which turn off. When I first did the routine I had the smart switches at the end of the routine and got the annoying message. I then deleted the routine and readded everything but put the smart switches at the top and with this the annoying message disappeared.

It's not something I've checked to be honest. I have unlimited tethering with Three, so it shouldn't be an issue.

It connects automatically assuming my phones hotspot is turned on.
Stallman was right

Now we're all entangled in an infrastructure that is becoming harder and harder to opt out of. Give me convenience or give me death Goddamnit!

Sounds like it might have done a software update or five via your hotspot!
I wanted something like this but when I've picked up dots for less it makes no sense. However, it is irritating that it can't still use the internal speaker for responding to commands when you connect an external one through 3.5mm jack.
