And should be easily unlocked with mtkunlocker unless firmware has been updated.

Not directly related to this deal (which is a perfectly respectable price), but I just noticed this phone's associated "pay as you go 1" tariff..... What a con!

It might as well be a £30/month contract, as 20p/MB virtually guarantees you'll hit the £1/day cap regardless of how much you use your phone.

25p a call, expensive.

Throw the sim away and get a new one or switch tarrifs.

Did you have any Amazon gift certificates left on your account ?????

It has a microSD slot for up to 32GB of extra memory, but no music player apparently. Pity.

Not that I know of. I bought an amiibo from them a few days ago and no discount was applied to that very odd.

Does it have Bluetooth?
Can't see it stated anywhere

Can't go wrong for a fiver - spare mobile in the car maybe?

Not enough for you. Plenty of people still use mobiles to make calls only. Emergency, day to day or as backups

£9.99 now

Talkmobile was set up by carphonewarehouse on voda network. voda bought CW out and shortly after told customers they were closing talkmobile and offered 10 quid if customers moved to voda's rippoff service.
Enjoy 20-30p min calls and other top price services.

I see people on the train with smart phones and 2G phones, I'm guessing one is for multimedia and one dedicated to using as a phone. They can't all be using them for nefarious reasons can they?

Wrong.... carphone warehouse was bought out by Dixon group and is now known as Dixon carphone. Vodafone bought and took over talkmobile and was great on 10p happy hour till they decided they wanted everyone on expensive contracts. Voda locked phones is now the worse network to be a rate tart on with lebara the only option now. Very expensive stay away. And yes mobiwire has taken over from Alcatel as the Skoda of the phone world poor value phone cold from me

Still £5 in Asda

@pengwyn - I'm ever so sorry I missed out the currys bit.
However , you seem to agree with the whole point of my post.
You lost me with lebara , it's a bit foreign for me to understand - I am now on 1pmobile - ee network ??

It was a rhetorical question, I was actually agreeing with you that there's still a use for basic phones. That didn't come across in my post.

Vodafone is slowly closing down all its virtual networks, if you get a Vodafone phone that's locked it can usually be put on a Vodafone virtual network or mvno for short. I think and someone can correct me lebara is the only voda virtual left the reason why you would get one is they give you a quid credit to start you off and I think a fiver to port your number to them. Their rates are between 10-20p a minute as opposed to 30 on voda. When I mean a rate tart I'm talking about low users who just want the best per minute rate. Talkmobile still do contracts which are ok for moderate users.
