Make sure you read the reviews on Amazon before you buy......it's cheap for a reason.
Prime £34.99 and quicker delivery as an option, and then Amazon protection.

Seems to have 1,538 customer reviews at 4.5 / 5.0 so good reviews.

As long as you add 'Playstore' and download the 4 apk files it's ok but does slow it down.
Really slow device

Would this be OK for watching films on a plane or is there anything better?

Great for watching films on plane/train etc. Anything beyond that (even browsing websites etc) and it's pretty taxing on the poor thing! But if you see it as a cheap way to download all your Netflix/Amazon Prime films and TV to watch offline etc without using up your phone battery then it's a great deal. I only log into the bare minimum in terms of apps etc so even if I lose it then it's no big deal.

Haven't regretted buying one for that reason but it's definitely not a use everyday kind of tablet.

Adding the playstore turns the tablet from perfectly useable in to painfully slow.

The best thing to do is forget the Google apps and sideload Playstore apps from APK mirror website.

The only Google app that's essential for a tablet is YouTube and the YouTube.com app in the Amazon store does the job for that.
