These are back in stock at Tesco website, when you add couple of Simcard with them and use code TDX-KH7H you can get it for £30.98. Only £1 more than their Black Friday price.

Hope it helps someone.

didn't vote, just personal opinion.

Amazon series devices, tablet, TV stick etc, I have to be paid to use them again, never buy from them.

Be warned of two main problems:
1. Forced system update, you don't have a choice, this is even worse than Apple products service.
2. After forced system updates, guess what... slooooooweeeeerrrr, and even looooowwwweeeerrr disk space.

Grumbles:
Low price, low build quality, fine, accept that.

1. It's not pure Android, so not all android things compatible,
2. You don't have same control as android, so basically you are renting the device from amazon, not "owned".
3. Slow... laggy... low disk space... you're pretty much just able to do Amazon things.

Similar priced pure android tablets will be a heavenly gift compare to this.

When I buy a kindle book, it’s asks which device I want to send it to.

Can’t say for apps, as I only have one Fire, the rest normal kindle/iPad.

Yes. I have 4 and 3 firesticks. You don't need to add all apps to each device.

OK, this or the Fire HD 8 tablet (for £54) ?

Wouldn't expect too much of either of them... as I'm being a skinflint I'm tempted to go for this (the Fire 7), just wondering if I might regret not paying a bit extra for the Fire HD 8 ... hmm.

(It was the Fire HD 8 that was on offer on Black Friday wasn't it? What was the price then?)

Add 2 sims to your basket to take it over £35 (£5 off 35+ spend) then add code listed on original post at checkout takes it down to 30.98

Remember this tablet has ads on the lock screen etc hench the price!

I just voice my opinions sometimes on products featured here i never said your deal was bad nor did i vote cold it's a good deal im just saying for someone like me this is a bad product that's all

Phones or tablets with a measly 8 GB should be banned from sale for new products. It is just too small. Even with add-on memory slot,, not all apps will transfer over snd you will fill it up in next to no time.

I think that's what I would expect from a £31 tablet, tbh.
Anyone ever used these guys?

Looks like you can save 98p. I mean, I'd rather get from Tesco, but saving 98p and all...

An opinion isn't any use to anyone without a good reason or two!
600 pixels across... 768 or 800 would make all the difference..

Yes. I have exactly this setup.
Very laggy and lots of light bleed on the screen. I had to return 6 to John Lewis before I had one that was nearly good enough. I eventually got fed up with that and took that back too... for a refund. You get what you pay for and these are junk.

You can have the ads taken off the lock screen if you contact Amazon live chat and tell them you bought from a retail outlet not from Amazon with “special offers”
Cheers, had some points worth a few quid so went for the HD 8.
Fairly low performance but fit for purpose I suppose. Same chipset benchmark below. 1GB memory will mean you'll have to careful on how much you have open and try to limit it as much as possible. The Benchmark is from 3 years ago so pretty old chipset.

Think it was £50, as I got it from Argos with £5 off, at £45. Must say, much better than the 7 I got for my mum last year! (£25 difference at the mo tho) Really pleased with it. Not as jazzy as my iPad, but FAR cheaper and can mess about with it - put google play etc on.

I've bought one solely for watching Netflix. I bought with printer paper instead of sim card because the kids will make use out of it
It's all relative and depends on your use case. Perfect for my liitlun for the car or light use in the evenings. The App Store is naff but 5 mins online and a few downloads later and managed to get the google play store on it which means YouTube for kids too happy days!
I've got one for our kid to use in the car on long journeys, works a treat for that. Also fine for using as an ereader and she has a few games like angry birds which seem to run fine too. All in all it's great for entertaining in the car.

All the Amazon Fire Tablet's were on offer throughout the whole of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday Weekend ...

I know, as I too (like many around that timeframe also) decided to get one. :-)

I wasn't too keen on the Fire 7 (wasn't personally useful for my intended purpose of Movie watching while also having multiple web browser tabs open too, etc).

Even QVC got in on the act of Black Friday/Cyber Monday Weekend Amazon Fire Tablet 7 Deals ... hehehehe.

Amazon reduced their own Tablet's across the board (including the Fire 10 32GB, and Fire 10 64GB as well!).

Curry's/PCWord had the same as what Amazon themselves had.

As did (ironically) Argos too!.

If I recall well, John Lewis also sold all too! (except the Fire 10 64GB, though it did sell the Fire 10 32GB instead, in addition to both the Fire 7, and Fire 8's too).

TESCO was mainly having the Fire 7, and Fire 8 Tablet's.

As I was having some Argos Gift Card Credit to get rid of at the time, I went for my Amazon Fire 8 32GB with Argos instead. :-)

But around the whole Black Friday period last Year, pretty much every Retailer out there were whacking out the Amazon Fire Tablet's of one description or another (if not all!), upon their own website's regardless ...

I did some good personal research on my Fire Tablet buying 'options' at around that kind of time, so I remember such fairly clear. :-)

I still ended up getting mine from Argos in the end still, lol, as that proved to be the best/cheapest/viable option for me around that particular timeframe ...

What a ridiculous comment from a £30 tablet buyer.

i am very happy with the updates on my £800 iPad Pro, cheers.
Heat for the price OP, but still the Worlds most awful tablet.
I have got one around 3 years old, bought for similar price. Primarily use it to listen to radio.(tunein radio app)
Got an hdx too but rarely used it(the screen is way better than fire 7), I should stop buying s*it I dont need.
Had the 7 for about a year, adequate cheap tablet, put Google Play on it and proved a nice simple media player. Bought the 8HD just before Xmas just as a wee upgrade but have already had it exchanged for another because compared to the 7 I found it INCREDIBLY slow. To be honest don’t think the exchange one is much better which is a bit frustrating perhaps bit less laggy.
In the end if you look at it objectively and see what you are getting for the money I’d say these are still a good buy. Google Play can be installed in few minutes and in the end not that far short of standard Android.
