More than enough.

a good table cheap enough to finally read my comics. Have some heat OP!

Appears that you can put Google play on it as well. However Gmail app isn't working and it's still on android 5.1 underneath. Things still work well in either case. Decent hardware for the money.

Same price on Amazon.

Android 5.1? Wow!

Is Alexa fully featured on these, can it play music, do everything an Echo dot will? I guess it doesn't have as good microphones.

I'm wondering if you ask it to play music whether it opens up the standard Android Amazon music app, or just plays it within an Alexa app.

Also does the Amazon music app for these allow streaming to a chromecast?

No 10 quid voucher though...

Great tablet at £149, utter bargain at £109. Great spec for the money. Quality full HD screen for starters. Screen ratio makes it better for viewing video rather than reading. Subscribe to prime and it's perfect. Still more than useful without prime with easily sideloaded google play store.

I'm considering buying one. So as per my research this is what I learnt. The 10 " differs with the other tablets in that Alexa works even when the screen is off, in other words like a. Echo. However since it's not designed to work like an echo it's microphones are normal and speakers similarly so. So adjust your expectations. The features for Alexa are similar however may lack some skills which are to be updated in the future. So adjust your expectations accordingly. Most regular Alexa stuff should work fine.

I was waiting for the price to come down to something like this. unfortunately skint till payday unless I can find somewhere to pay with paypal so it's pay after delivery. I don't support anyone knows a seller that takes paypal like that?

But currys after sales support is shocking so for peace of mind buy elsewhere.

As said, it was an OK buy at £150.

Another plus here is that two of the CPU cores are the high end Coretex A72, making this a very fast budget tablet. If you make good use of the voucher, then at 100 this is the main tablet bargain of the year.

The other Fires are only insipidly good value cheap and cheerful offerings.

What's so bad about the 8 inch one other than a smaller screen? Anyone know how invasive the "special offers" are ie is it well worth the extra tenner to do without?

The 8 and 7 have quite low resolution screens, with bottom end CPU.

They are usable, certainly the 8 is, and at £50 for the 8 it is not bad value.
There is a dirth of decent tablets and a glut of average ones, so the 10 really stands out.

Found a proper review.

Benchmarks are top end, the screen is decent (no doubt better than my Samsung Tab A 10.1).
Its flawed but is still a standout product at the price.

Amazon really needs to update it to an Android 7 base.

I bought one last time around and to be honest you get what you pay for, i find it slow and laggy compared to android tabs, but it was £29 so what did i expect, good for simple internet and youtube etc and some apps via google play, i personally would pay more next time and get a pure android tab, buts its simple and slow

Wrong thread mate, this is not the 7! This benchmarks better than £200 alternatives.

I thought Currys accept Paypal! They also accept it on ebay but of course you no doubt lose the chance of fhe £10 voucher bonus.

Excellent deal, I have been waiting for a good price drop!

I am going to order through Amazon though as I am a huge fan of their customer service and returns policy compared to Currys...

The one in currys does it have the "special offers"? or is the version without it ?

is there anyway around the adverts? e.g if you load another launcher?

You can pay to have them removed. £10 on 7" not sure if 10" is same price.

Good find

Hello all. I’m looking for a 10” screen tablet for watching sky, using social media and allowing my 3 year old some safe screen time. Would this fit the bill and is it the best offer for kindle 10?

Is this much good for a non-amazon user ?
