As per title, both the Fire HD 8 16gb and 32gb are currently being sold by scan.co.uk for £20 below their current selling prices elsewhere, also includes next working day delivery.
They are both the new 7th generation versions which includes Amazon Alexa built in.
A quick Google shows it's super easy to add the Play Store to the tablets without any rooting, making these a fully functional android tablet whether you have an Amazon Prime account or not.
I know these have been this price during sales etc, but currently the best price I can find.

Still annoys me in this day and age that there is an option to buy an ad supported version of Fire tablets. Is buying the tablets not enough!

From what Ive heard, no.

Amazon apparently make little/no money from their hardware and instead make it either through their services or things like these adverts.

If you are annoyed by them, you can try to get them removed for free by contacting customer services.

Pay more for the ones without ads then, it only shows an ad on the lock screen I believe...

I'm not sure why this is cold? Can someone who has voted cold show me where it is cheaper please? As I have bought one and will cancel order if you can show me cheaper. Thanks

Good buy. It is probably because they have been cheaper just ‘recently’. I picked one up for Christmas at £45.

Ads on lock screen only, can install google play, good product. The 8 is considerably better than the 7 imho. For me, obviously not at ‘solid’ as my iPad, but more versatile and a fraction of the price.

Not voted.
Tesco had them for this price last week and there was also a code for £5 off taking it down to £54.99. Not sure if that is still working, but it may be the reason for the old votes

It's not working and it's £79.99 now. I'm going to jump in my HUKD time machine and go get it thanks for the heads up.
This is why people miss out on deals, HUKD logic!
Also no YouTube. Cold as a butchers...

Haha I know what you mean. I remember seeing it and thinking it was a decent price. Think your deal is the best available now so I've heated it.
There is no logic at all with HUKD sometimes. I always think if I've helped one person then that's ok with me.

I know. I'm just jumping on the bandwagon.

Previous price (in the past), and current price (in the hear and now/future), should not a wantan cold vote make?.

Unless of course the price difference was literally yesterday? (and still currently 'live', or whatever?).

After all, no one hear (to my knowledge at least), owns a Time Machine right? (or am I mistaken?), looooool.

Life ... :-)

If you'd read the quotes of both myself and GaiusB, you'd see that neither of us voted cold, in fact I voted the deal hot. We were both just pointing out potential reasons for the cold votes (whether valid or not).
This site is well known for people voting in strange ways. Yes, you could have picked it up cheaper recently, however if you need it now it is indeed a good deal.
I'm still gutted I missed the deal on the Dell refurb on Friday, but as you say, I am lacking the necessary time machine.....

ive got an HD10 - i was looking forward to adverts, and have never seen one. I dont even know what they look like.

Removing adverts with a bit of googling should be easy enough (havent tried, so I cannot vouch how easy it is). After all, its just an app/lockscreen mode. I know the amazon FireOS is a bit quirky, but, overall works, until you want to do some finer tuning (then its annoying!).
Looks like a good deal.
Say includes next day delivery but when I look it says delivery is £5.48 (did I miss something?). Interestingly I used to get FREE delivery from scan, but seems to not be a thing anymore.

Looks like that part of the deal has expired unfortunately
