Not sure why expired it worked for me, and with a clubcard voucher I got my Fire HD 8 for £52.50 just now (store pickup).

Is this better than my nexus 7?

Take it from me who had both... It's not even near as good, it's laggy, sound is poor and text on screen seems blurry in comparison, stick with the nexus unless you really need the slightly larger screen

Hi thanks for your reply.
I know this isn't the best tablet in the world but at £54 it should be hotter then it is as it works well.

It's main downside is that it's locked into the Amazon app store, not the full Playstore.

Can you chromecast from this? Thanks

You can if you add the play store which is relatively easy to do.
How can you add play store?

How can you add play store?

Download Root Junky onto your pc. Which contains the files.
Think this is the cheapest price anywhere right now?
It's perhaps not a bad tablet for a child if you put it in a rugged case, in my opinion, though even then it is frustratingly slow for some things, which at the price I don't mind too much, and doesn't look that great when not watching Prime videos that it seems best optimised for, according to the reviews, with the brightness full up or it looks a bit murky (HD Youtube videos look less great, looks like a cheap tablet, and text quality is poor compared to my mother's old iPad but at the price, is a comparison even fair, beyond that I, unreasonably at the price, would obviously like it to be better) but that at the price and for a bit of fun with Alexa... Hot, obviously!
