Not many people I know who have purchased the cube have said it's better in any way. I've experienced it for a weekend (at brothers) and I didn't see anything noticeably better. I use the 4k sticks and recommend to everyone even if they don't have 4k TV's as that's not a requirement but the 4k sticks are faster and more responsive than the normal fire stick. In my opinion. I'm sure this may get a thumbs up from those who agree to help some make a decision.

You have obviously not used one cause the firestick is very quick & very easy to use with only a few buttons & if you used the tv apps with the tv remote its very slow & far to many buttons. for £29 it amazing even £50 it's worth it.

I'll wait then. I really don't need it with the smart TV, but since I've got myself Amazon dot I got this idea in my head that I could throw away the remote for the TV.
I thought I would never be able to afford one, but now thanks to this deal I can!

Of course I haven't used one or my comment would have been nonsensical. I simply wondered what the purpose of this device was, and in a roundabout way you've provided an answer, so thank you.

HiSense Vidaa3 does, but the Firestick makes the front end a lot more slick, plus it's far quicker to switch between various apps.

Haven't bothered much with Alexa voice control, but making our surround system part of the "Play Music Everywhere" group means we've been able to relocate the Echo in the lounge to the dining room, increasing how much the neighbours hate us during Housework Sunday...
Can you sideload easy enough to this?

I got mine for £23.99 from Amazon on Thursday. I bought a £50 gift card. This gives £6 bonus credit. When I went to buy the 4k fire stick the credit wasn't automatically applied. 2 mins on live chat the assistant added the £6 manually.

Yesterday I bought the Echo Show 8 for £59.99, the original £6 bonus credit was finally applied automatically. So £53.99 for that.

Result!

That depends on the colour depth - the standard firestick can play them if they're 8-bit colour; but many x265 files are 10-bit colour which due to hardware limitations does require the 4K firestick to play.
Picked one up yesterday from argos £29.99
Works amazing I have smart tv 4k but this thing is unreal so fast .
I then installed loads of android apps going on google and looking for links .

All in all took 1hr from setup and it's all complete have live TV apps movie apps tv show apps football etc .

Hopefully if price goes to £25 might get one for the bedroom .

Dont know why I didnt get one early.

Anyone looking to buy I highly recommend it:)
Can I easily stream content from my phone to this and also mirror the screen onto the TV?

You can sideload all sorts of apps on there that you wouldn't be able to on smart TV.
Depends how techie you are, judging by your comments, you aren't.
Firestick isn't for you.
