I'm afraid not. This is to stream shows from Amazon where you can rent them. If you have Amazon Prime then a lot of the stuff is free to watch.

Why not use her Sky Go account ? Keep it simple.

Good price - a lot bad reviews though.

Superb device. Add Kodi to it then cancel Sky TV subscription. Works a treat for me. Very quick, no buffering

Hi, is it good even if you have no Amazon account. I'd like to put kodi on it but was wondering how good the internet has to be. I'm with sky broadband and its not that good so will I just get loads of buffering.? Also how complicated is it to put kodi on it for someone with limited techno abilities? Thanks.

I will have to ask her about this... I have Sky broadband I don't want them to cotton on and her to get into trouble.
Thank you Jane

I didn't think this post was that erotic

Have just looked up Kodi on you tube, which seemed straight forward even to me. Is there anyway you can have kodi so you can use it on the television or is it just to watch on the lap-top? Sorry for my ignorance but this is all new to me.

Basically and with limited funds I want something that will settle the grandsons down for half an hour or so while I get tea/put them to bed.

They also like playing games on my kindle, but can only do one at a time which is stressful.

Thanks for all the help

Hi Jane,
This device connects to your TV via a HDMI slot. Therefore you can view any installed apps on your TV. You are also able to send some videos from your Kindle/mobile to the TV.

Thank you very much for your reply... presumably I have to buy something to link the tv and computer... can this be done wirelessly or do they need a physical conncection? Any recommendations?

If you have wifi this device is all you require. You can install kodi to the device and watch it direct. No need for anything else.

I have sky internet too, about 2mb speed. Kodi works ok, it does buffer on HD every couple of minutes. SD is fine.
showbox works with no buffering on HD. its worth it just for that.
If you have an android phone you can install kodi, showbox, etc straight from it with a click of a button. takes about 2 minutes to get everything installed and running.
I presume its as easy from a PC

Tried Kodi on this and any decent streams are buffer mad, same as when trying to mirror my device to it. Constant sound and vision drop outs. For those who think Kodi means you can cut the cable / sack the sat dish,.....after 2 days of messing around trying to get it to work, you'll be phoning Sky begging them to take you back.

Is this better than the google chrome cast?

Depends what you use it for but I'd say yes

IPTV is the future. Sky stand absoluteoy no chance against what's available via the internet. And good. They do nowt but rip customers off! Especially those who don't even have the sports sub, by sticking the prices up for all packages because they decided to pay a fortune for pl football... Con artists.

Can you Install a bt sport app on this ?

Yes, you would need to download bt Sport apk file then side load the app. It needs a mouse as well.

If you have an android phone, you would need remote mouse from Amazon app store and apps2fire.

(alternatively install kodi and watch bt Sport illegally- although I don't suggest it)

Now OOS on John Lewis Oh well, back to waiting for it on Amazon then!

Can anybody recommend the best IOS app to mirror an iPad - have searched and got extremely confused (not hard) - personal recommendations count for a lot - any free apps? from what I have seen most are paid?
