Does this allow for offline Netflix viewing?
Good find Gooner, ordered and heated, thanks.
Is this sold out?

nope
Thanks! ordered 2 - hopefully I can get my iPad back off the kids
anyone have a direct link I cant get to it?
Basic tablet, annoying with the Amazon OS the apps are limited (uses Amazon underground app store rather than the usual Android App store). And even the apps you can get like BBC iplayer don't allow all features you would normally get like off line viewing/downloads.
However for a cheap tablet for kids I'm voting hot. Again you might want to check what kids apps you can get on it. I couldn't get the furby app to connect to my kids furby toy.
And if you can be bothered these can be rooted and you can put the normal Android OS on instead.

I'd wait until Prime day next week, new ones will be this price
I have abysmal handwriting, and am starting my masters course in a few months. How would a cheap thing like this be for just simple word processing? And would that then be transferrable easily to a normal windows laptop? Would save me taking a laptop into London on the tube four nights a week. Or any recommendations for something cheap?

It's highly unlikely the new ones will be this price. If history is anything to go by, they'll be £35.
Can you share prime video to Chrome cast tv from this?
Looking for a kids case, having just bought the 16gb version for £32 delivered (used/very good).

Anyone know if it's the 2015 or 2016 model they'll be sending? I assume it's the latest... but who knows and the case needs to fit as it's for kids!
Hated this tablet imo.

Typing on such a small screen for any decent amount of text will be torture. Best bet would be to hold out for a bargain chromebook with prime day on the way.

If I were going to have to take a chromebook I may as well take a laptop, so could just stick with that, at least I know!

Do you still need a Windows PC to get the .apk files on there? Quite tempted if I'm able to get Google Play running on there with a Mac or no computer at all

or buy one now, and return it if it's cheaper on prime day?
Thanks , ordered a black one £24.98
I've got one of these, don't expect the world. Playing back video is fine I guess, but as soon as you install the Google Play store and start putting apps on it that kind of weren't supposed to go on it, you;ll see it struggle.

Using Chrome is horrible, bluetooth audio drops out for a split second on Netflix (does on my iPhone 7 though to be fair), wifi drops all the time 1 floor up so music from Amazon Music stops (it doesn't have the intelligence to perhaps buffer the whole album I've started listening to), games are sluggish. No Nest, Marvel Comics, Dominos, it's all the little things you take for granted when using a proper tablet
Ordered one Good shout OP! My son left his in the rain after two years & its now buggy. I think leaving him without a new one for 4 months. Getting one on the cheap will make us all feel good.

No, you can get ES File Explorer from the Amazon App Store, then install APK Pure from the web, then that makes it easy to install APKs....

Yes, I have a fire tablet and Netflix works offline for specific titles though
Heat added. Just ordered a 16gb for £30.
Will youtube and basic kids games run fine on this? Just thinking of replacing the original nexus 7 for my 5 year old boy, as it's become quite sluggish after the last available os update for it...at this price it would be a good purchase...
