Bought this for my OH when it was on offer last time...TBH I find it just too small to use comfortably, I feel it's gotta be 10" for a tablet!

...good price though if you're from Lilliput
8gb? that is going to fill up very quick

Hi can you use the playstore on this tablet
saji

Hi can you use the playstore on this tablet

yes u can. google for "how to install playstore on fire tablet"

Hi can you use the playstore on this tablet

You can sideload the playstore onto these using a laptop/PC via usb. Info/links are in previous fire tablet threads (I'm just walking out the door at the mo so can't search and link to them myself)
We have two of these. One for me and one for our five year old. can't fault them at all.
Anyone who has one of these can they confirm that the gaming apps can be used out and about when not connected to wifi like other tablets as I had read on a review that they needed to be connected to wifi for the apps to work ?
Can't go wrong at this price, even for a back up cheers chichi
Is this not included in the clubcard boost thing?

Ah, thanks
I have 3 in the household, great tablets but not all apps will work from a SD card so Beware. Heat though
We have two of these instead of the kids version, they are good for the money and perfect for young kids as a first tablet. Amazon are sneaky with subscribing you to things without you knowing such as fire for kids. We complained and got refunds

I was thinking this instead of the kids version

Other than the case/ 2 year warranty and 1 year freetime is this the same thing?

Anybody know if they're this price in store?
It's the same tablet, we bought similar cases of Ebay. You should get a free 30 day trial for Amazon prime if you haven't used it before
You can side load kodi , mobdro etc

i think so and you can still set it as a kids tablet..my two have them and i installed play store in 5 minutes and i am so crap at tech!

About them being small..my kids have ipads and have never mentioned these feeling small to them..they love them.
Re apps not playing when no wifi my son plays spotify and games on holiday when out of wifi reach so i guess so?

They have cards in to expand memory and download movies for on flights etc i get the cases off ebay full covers with magnetic folding covers (iykwim?) and so cheap and so far have protected them and theyve had them a good while now x
Amazon have price matched these

the fire kids ones are 79.99 too.

I think for the 16gb and free case/warranty it may be worth £30

But other than that this is great deal

Excellent. Just ordered via prime now for delivery within the next 2 hours. Had a £5 promo code too which they gave me for making a mistake the last time I ordered. U was holding off buying this until I could get it for the same time it was around Christmas.

Lovely

Thanks guys

I'm in Manchester.. M24 area if that helps. They only have the black version none of the multi colours.
Please could anyone tell me if this'll run the showbox app (apk)
Thanks in advance
I have one of these and they are ok for day to day stuff movies, quick games, surfing the web etc. The screen is not the best out there on the market and with no HD playback, its just OK. Fits inside coat pockets and as its slighty thicker than most tablets it can take a certain level of battering and still work. You will need to buy a micro SD card as the 8gb is not enough. 7inch is just about right if your out and about but for long journeys I would say no. The bloatware esp the ad`s they have placed is annoying but you can remove this, quick google search shows how to do this. The O/S took me some time getting used to as its quite different to the android o/s I have been using. Amazon have mapped everything into tabs i.e. one for music, movies etc and no central scree, so you have to work your way around this and make on of the tabs where you place your main apps. It is quick for what it is and play`s most games ok not tried the big heavy ones.
Really can't complain for the money but 800pixels across would be much better, these are 600 and you can tell.
These were £34.99 on Black Friday. Those in a prime now area could use the £10 code to get for £24.99

In Manchester we didn't get prime now until a couple of weeks later, by then it was £39.99 so I got it for £29.99 with the £10 code.

Not sure why everyone thinks this is a great deal, appreciate we can't rewind back to last year but 6 months on the technology is the same, the price is more expensive and everyone is voting hot.
