Someone mentioned they scanned cheap a few weeks ago, but no one found any in store (I searched, but can't find their deal or I would have added to it).......well, using a self-scan machine today and thought I'd give it a try - the Fire TV stick scanned at £10!
Bought one for a gift (I much prefer the 4k version), but plenty more on the shelf. There are two barcodes on the bottom - make sure you scan the lefthand one for £10!
No idea if it scans at that price at the tills, and the 4k didn't have a barcode (so didn't try them).

What do you mean by scanning the lefthand one?

To explain - on the bottom are two barcodes.
The righthand one didn't scan at all.
The lefthand one (was covered in marker pen on a few of them), but the ones that weren't it scanned at £10 - I assume they are old stock?

I should add - the boxes were empty, so the one I took home was from behind the counter and the empty box would have gone back on the shelf.

I posted it for £10 at Bar Hill, Cambridge.

Since then they have removed the barcode scanning at £10 and now back to £39

Great if you can get it for this price still

The 4k version didn't have a barcode on it, so you can't check.

People voting without knowing if stocks available
None in Eastbourne , shelf is empty
Knew they wouldn't Tesco seem to pull stuff quickly as if they watch the site for errors
So a goose from me

This or Roku or Chromecast?

ROKU has a fab user interface and is easy to use with a lot of third party support (though the vast majority is cack imo), but it is a closed environment that you can't really sideload onto or play around with too much.

Firestick is great if you have Amazon Prime and like to tinker with some homebrew and "alternative" apps that can be loaded onto it.

Chromecast is a very different beast, and not really comparable as you need third party hardwarer to work it.

What apps have you sideloaded? I've not really found much of interest - lots of the stuff I've tried was a pain to navigate with the remote

TeaTV and Mobdro are the main ones I know of, but I think some still use Kodi et al as well.

Ditto....felt like I was participating in some really bizarre version of the generation game & oh I have so many questions....what is the gift set that was purchased....& was it 3 bows or 3 packets of bows....is the leg of lamb going to be giftwrapped & presented with a bow....what kind of psychological profile does the person who bought this eclectic mix of goods have

Seriously think I need to get out more as this is the most entertainment I've had on a Saturday night for a long time

I read that as a 10 litre bottle of Baileys & thought that's really impressive for £12....why didn't you post that as a deal
