yes, simple click through got the answer.

Is it best to update the stick on first use,or not if your sideloading Kodi.

still think amazon will be knocking these out for £20 or less by the end of tomorrow it has been that cheap before.

they have another one... which is #45 pound listed...im confused. i think this is th eolder version

Don't think it matters, have Kodi running fine on both of mine and they've always had every update installed.

Heat added

Let's fire up the stick . Hot hot hot.

Just bought using £10 boost to take £20 off, so paid £5 cash, great for the bedroom TV with Kodi on and fully portable to other rooms/take on holiday, I compared to the specs with the Amazon sites latest version and they are the same, so looks like newest one, but the Tesco info is abit confused as it states 'Simply say what you want to watch and enjoy with Voice Search' which the picture of the remote shows this does not have !!!! so will see what they send, at this price its a great deal, especially with so little boost points needed.

Thanks chanchi, heated

just jumped on this i own one already i had 12.50 in clubcard points so i got it without putting any cash there real easy to sideload kodi mobdro ect even after you update thanks a lot guys also this will be the one without voice remote but it wont be any use for kodi the first ones great

Can you put showbox on this?

FORGIVE THE DBL POST..

How does this connect to kodi and play films from my microserver?
just after a simpler front end than running the server based kodi for control purposes as I currently teamviewer from laptop to server connected to Tv (well panel) so the hdmi would be disconnected connected from the TV unless in use? is that an issue? Thanks,

Price matched on Amazon Amazon

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I don't really know much about these things. How do you sideload kodi onto this and how does kodi work exactly? Any helpful links are appreciated.

Through a laptop/computer using Adbfire, there's loads on stuff on Google/YouTube on setting them up

Once Kodi is installed, I would recommend trying theblackbox which is a build designed for UK users, regularly updated and well supported on Facebook:

i recommend side loading dropbox on the stick through adbfire. once you have done that you can install any Apk through dropbox.
Use es file explorer to upload any app on your android phone, press and hold the app on Es file explorer this will then alow you to select it, once selecting go to share and share it with dropbox and voila any app from your phone onto your firestick.
oh yeah you will need to find a settings app Apk to add a bluetooth mouse to the fire stick (will need the mouse to use with a lot of sideloaded apps as the fire stick controller isnt compatible with most apps.

I know how to sideload Kodi, I just don't know what the best addons to install are. I got my mother a FTV box, sideloaded kodi, all up to date but most of the addons are pants, takes a while to get something watchable.

Grateful of any help re: sports, movies boxsets etc

Edited by: "austinc" 27th Nov 2015

Tempted, already have one.
Thanks

I did have BT sport and sky go installed. BT sport used to work fine. But after last couple of updates the live TV stutters. Really strange as if you watch a recorded video on BT sport it works fine.
Sky go also worked fine but I only installed it to test if it worked. I have the fire stick in the living room where I have the sky box so didn't need it and as you are only limited to 2 devices with Sky Go I use my phone and tablet. But would be really handy if you wanted to pop round a mates and watch the footie on sky go on the stick. You for forget to take your mouse with you as well.

Hey guys sorry but i have a quick question. Can i get tesco to price match something and then use my double up vouchers to pay for it? And can i do it online please?

any one recommend this over the new Now Tv box (with 6 months sky entertainment for £19.99) for installing and running kodi?

as suspected, both Amazon and Argos have reduced theirs to £24.99
