This is the standard price so not really a deal

Yes this is the standard price.
One thing ... if you're tempted by the Stick, as opposed to the more expensive Fire TV Box, be aware that you can't connect Blue Tooth headphones to the Stick whereas you can with the Box. Wish I'd known this before I parted with my £25.

I used to think this (in regards to keyboards also) but as someone pointed out you can sideload the android settings apk to connect other bluetooth devices. I'm not sure if this works with headphones but you can read more here

You can sideload the settings.apk to pair pretty much anything.

you can pair one to the tv box by root

This is the regular price and they often do deals so very cold from me !

Look for the sixaxis controller app on the play store. You need root for this tho and it is a paid app. There is a free compatibility app though so worth a try.

Looked into the headphones thing in some detail. Those folks who finally managed (with a lot if work) to get the pairing to work reported horrendous lip syncing problems. I concluded that the Box was the only way to do this properly.

£27 from Amazon germany

Given the licencing on these, I don't think you can have these delivered from Germany to a UK address.

I hate the fact that there are buffering issues with IPlayer YouTube etc and you have reboot for things to play I might take mine back

Add an extra £15 and get one pre loaded with Kodi from ebay.

For £25 maybe Fire is OK, but £30+ suggests the Android MK808B+ stick (without inclusive remote) may be more flexible & can be sorted for £19 from China or £28 from UK leaving a few £s spare for media keybd / mouse if not using smartphone to control

amazon.co.uk/dp/…CU/
MXQ box with inc remote is probably better value from around £32 or best offer delivered
ebay.co.uk/itm…467
Suppose it depends if you want to stick (!) with the Amazon features and are OK to sacrifice H265 support and all the benefits it could have brought.

Takes me a lot more than 5 minutes to find and install the repositories - Are there any good all in one solutions ?

one of these would be great fro my projector... however I can't figure out how I'd get the sound over to my receiver!

TVMC is alot faster but I don't use it anymore. I've been using Kodi 15 beta 2. Then add the source on file manager with loads of repo's in. Been using Ivue for live tv lately awesome one.

just looked at the ones on gumtree and they have sky sports and movies hd included without subscription, is that part of kodi?

Yeah that sounds legit.

I have no idea how it works but they mention netflix also with a lifetime account. For the extra they are asking if it's not Kodi with free streaming services it seems worth it, but i'm weary of such claims.

Not sure about the lifetime account but ive got a few Fire sticks with kodi loaded on.. Kids love it, All the movies, all the sports, including the 3pm games not shown on sky. Its great. Fully supported to by the guy i got it off so if anything breaks it gets fixed.

There is no such thing as a lifetime Netflix account. If you are getting Netflix content without paying for a subscription it isn't legal. Make the most of it while it lasts. The guy selling them will get caught. Hopefully he encrypted his list of clients.

No, Kodi is basically a media player.
You can get apps/add ons for it like TVMC which allow you to watch other things.

The next generation is due out soon so wait for that much faster or pickup this old one much cheaper when they reduce it.
