Having read around it's still not clear whether it will pass through DD / DTS etc over HDMI for Plex. Some users report it is no longer working.

Still don't make it a bargain... If you just gonna use it for amazon buy a stick if you gonna do what 99% of people who buy this do then there are much better boxes available..
Just saying

Any recommendations?

Looking to replace a Fire Stick and never had any issues with the old Fire Box I'm currently using.

Runs better than the S905x box I have upstairs so any recommendations would be welcome.
Remember you have to install either the silk or Firefox browser to operate YouTube now. No real difference but just annoying to set up.

Does it work well the fire TV remote though, as I assume the one you can do this with is optimised for touch screen. Or is the original fire TV version available some where?
I've not used it for Amazon fire TV box but have used it to install apps to fire TV stick

can you recommend a box at the same price that has 4k hdr support?
Expired back up to 69.99
hey op, can we get the £10 voucher even if we did the purchase with reward cards.. I've been using e-gift cards from completesavings, which they offer 20% discount (buying £100 gift cards by only paying £80 each month). If I can do that this Fire TV will cost only £69- £10 (voucher) - £14 (20% of £69) = £45.. which will be absolute bargain..
