Cold - discrimination against non students
Edited by: "RickT" 18th Dec 2014

It's Amazon Prime but without the Instant Video and Share with Family options.

After the 6 months free, you are charged half price and whilst you gain instant video, you cannot share Prime with other family members still.

You need an academic email address to sign up. I used my Open University email address.

yes, must be against our human rights to exclude us non-students.
ageism at its worst.
wonder if Cherie Blair would fight our case?

I don't have a student email address but I get the NUS discount

I'm very happy for you

I have used this its a really good deal 18 months prime for half the price of usual 12 months. im not that bothered with the instant video stuff tho does seem to have a good selection.

Its been like this for months. But well worth t if you can get It !

I got this...about a year ago, if not longer. Can't grumble at getting something for free and I've definitely had more than a fair share of free next day deliveries with it. I don't see the point in sharing Prime with others as I'll order it from my account instead. Instant Video is getting better by the day too.

Got this too, great aint it!

Your free Amazon Prime delivery benefits have ended.

I m getting above message

And £39 for a years full prime

Ta!

Not really a deal. This has been on for the past year or so. You'll need a ac.uk email.

hot

Mine expired recently, was great having it for 6 months though!

Don't 'need' a ac.uk email address, I sent a scan of my enrollment for an evening course and got accepted

someone posts this deal every so often and it allways goes super cold. but anyway.
If you have a ac.uk account, and you have finished your 6 months
you can make another amazon account but instead use a picture of your student ID as proof.

36 what, around the waist

I'm in Uni and apparently my email has been used already, fantastic!

Finally got around to doing this, didn't realise you can just add it to your main account.

Don't forget to use No-Rush Delivery (3 - 5 business days) and get a £1 Digital Video, Kindle Book & Digital Music Credit while saving us some CO2

Outrageous discrimination by Amazon, why should students get preferential treatment?

I have this! It has been of great help at various moments on a Monday when all the copies of the books are out of the library and you need to read it for Friday... +1

Not sure why a student should pay less than me. Still love Amazon though.

Ooooh my school work email ends .ac.uk. Maybe the teachers can benefit too :-)

The message is telling me "You will be charged £39 for 1 year of Amazon Prime."
Is that after the initial 6 months free?

I'm 34. And 32 leg.

Hey, Amazon, nothing for unemployed or mums working at home with lots of kids?
Think economically!!!
Give such a treat to all the mums with kids under ... age and you will be amazed how quickly your profits will grow and grow and grow ...... and grow!
Mums have time and love to browse on Amazon, I'm certain :-)
