Amazon Get £5 Promotional Credit when you top up £20 cash using Paypoint in-store (thought it was worthy of a re-post as offer has been extended again)

With all the mentions of topping up £50 and getting a £5 bonus I thought the other Amazon offer was worth a re-post as it was last posted on the 9th of November and a lot of people may have missed it...plus the fact that the top up £50 offer seems to be select accounts only...mine excluded

Credit to the original poster OneGloveOnTheFence in August and follow up posters luvsadealdealdeal in September and TPBW in November.

To Get your Barcode:
1)Login to your Amazon account.
2) Select Gift Cards & Top Up
3) On the main Gift Cards & Top Up page look for the Top Up Add to Balance Option - it appears next to See All Gift Cards on my laptop but not sure where it would appear on a mobile. Select this option and proceed to step 4.
4) Select In-Store.
5) Can either have the barcode sent to your phone or print it out. I couldn't get Amazon to verify my phone number as I kept getting a message that the phone number was already in use so printed out my barcode instead.

In-Store offer works as follows:
You are supposed to get a barcode and go into a store with Paypoint and get them to scan the barcode and pay using £20 cash.

However some stores may not be able to scan the barcode and in that situation you should ask for an "Amazon Top Up Gift Code" instead.

How could you struggle? Amazon has thousands of products... and you didn't need to spend it instantly..
Definately a deal, rehashed maybe.
Worth a re-mention. Heat
Much better instruction on how to get the deal. Heat from me.
I appreciate the re-post. Even though I’d seen this offer previously I’d never pursued it, but i’m going to give this a go today so thanks OP

Mmm not quite sure what your point is as did state in the title and description that it was a re-post (also credited the original posters) as I thought it was worth highlighting again for those that had either a) missed it in the past or b) had meant to try getting the offer but had forgotten about it...your comment could also apply to the Amazon gift card top up offer that has been posted on numerous occasions but it's still worth highlighting to people as an extra fiver is an extra fiver regardless of whether it is posted every month
It's only one per customer I think

Could not get deal, followed through still didn’t work

Do you mean you followed through to get a barcode and couldn't get a barcode or do you mean you couldn't get it to work in a store as if it's either of these I'd contact Amazon and complain...the only thing is it won't work if you've done it before as it's once per account

You're welcome...glad to have been of help
Followed instructions but wasn't given the option to top up in store just to use one of my cards so wasn't offered barcode.

Correction. Just had another go by clicking on the Top Up In Store image on the post rather than the Get Deal link and it worked straight away. Now have bar code on my phone and will pop into Co-Op up the road to process it.

Thanks OP.

Used mine to pre-order a game with a £2 prime discount for pre-release ordering. Saved £7.

Could have used it in literally thousands of items but that's what I chose.
Just to confirm you don’t need to use the barcode (my local shop doesn’t use them) - if you get a top up voucher code (just a receipt basically) and enter it as you would a gift card the credit is still activated. This is a great deal imho!
Heat. There's always new members who won't know about bargains like these. It ridiculous to complain about reposting excellent deals, and it's bonkers to moan that you struggled to spend your free £5!

Awesome deal, thanks again

Mmm @ HantsShopper....have you a) topped up in-store before or b) used the offer below as it seems to have been one that has been available to everyone rather than the usual selected accounts only...if neither of these apply contact Amazon and see what they say or you could always try what franco79 says as long as you'd be happy to spend £20 on Amazon regardless of whether you get the extra £5 or not just in case it doesn't work
Cool - I need to buy a gift voucher so I guess it would work for that (and I didn't see this before so I for one am grateful to OP!!!)

Let me know how it goes....just going to pop down to our local shop to give it a go as not tried it before....admittedly I could be some time as suspect the code is going to cause a bit of confusion

Yeah must be a nightmare to find stuff sold by Amazon on Amazon
If I recall correctly, when I had this I worried that I hadn't got it. It wasn't until I actually bought something that the £5 credit was applied.
It's a great deal, but wasn't followed through very well by Amazon.
Hopefully they've fixed this now.
Credit for the repost.
I used this deal last month. I clicked on the link again it gives me a barcode. Does this mean I will qualify for the £5 credit the second time round as well?
Got mine in Asda. Didn't use link just went in and bought £20 using cash on paypoint. The £5 usually only shows when you are on payment page on Amazon.

Yeah I did this the other day. Was just going to get a game by topping up. Got 5 quid bonus for this, then was offered another 5 for downloading the app. Got 2 switch games for £40 in the end.! Great deal

Won't work for gift vouchers unfortunately, & I think digital purchases are also excluded. It will work for just about anything else sold by Amazon only (not marketplace sellers).

Confirmed with this: "Promotional credit (including those placed directly in accounts) may not be redeemed for Amazon Gift Cards."

Unfortunately no, confirmed with this & being the same offer, just extended as kye1987 says: "Offer limited to one per customer and account."

meh, i did this and like yourself had nothing in my basket that was sold AND dispatched by Amazon. fast forward a few weeks and I buy a fire tv remote with 20% discount code... at basket it takes another £5 off! delighted.

If you shop on amazon enough, it'll get spent.
I've already done this about 2 months ago. Is this a whole new refresh or the old offer?
Would you be able to do this AND the top up £50 and get £5 bonus at the same time?

Would i then have £10 promotional credit to use on stuff sold and despatched by amazon, like the echo dot for example?

Not 100% sure but the top up I've posted is an offer for in-store paypoint purchases only...the other offer is for on-line top-up so can't see why you shouldn't be able to do both as they are separate offers....

Coming to think of it about a year ago I had an on-line top up offer with Amazon...can't remember exact figures but think I had to top up £80 and got so much extra as a promotional credit and have just got the £5 promotional credit with this one as well...
Thanks
Did this last time like 1.5months ago. Would I get the bonus again this time?

As it's the same promotion - I don't think so
Just did it and it worked great. Had some logical puzzle books from Amazon as Christmas presents.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is the £5 bonus will expire on 31 Dec 2017 (according to Amazon's email)
