Amazon HD Movies to Buy for £1.99 - Use those £1 Amazon No Rush Delivery Credits!!

I thought I’d post this should anyone happen to have an Amazon Prime account and recently selected the No Rush Delivery option and gained yourself a £1 credit.

I’ve accrued a few ₤1 reward credits that I can use towards the purchase of eligible Apps from Amazon App store, the rental or purchase of eligible movies or TV shows from Amazon Instant Video or the purchase of eligible Kindle Books or MP3 downloads.

Annoyingly, I now only seem to be offered a £3 Amazon Pantry credit for No Rush Delivery recently, as I don’t use Amazon Pantry and you can only use one of these £3 credits and it can’t be combined with Amazon Pantry Free Delivery promotions they are just going to waste.

As the expiry date of my £1 credits is rapidly approaching I thought I’d have a look at what I can spend them on as I often end up forgetting about them and thus they expire before I can spend them!

If you don’t want to contribute anything to the credits then an mp3 probably isn’t an option and it's pain to sift through and find anything for a couple of quid.

I found it a bit of a ball ache to filter movies to buy for £2 but I got there in the end!

This might hopefully be helpful to some of you…here then are a selection of HD videos to ‘buy’ for £1.99, so if you have a couple of credits from recent purchases the following movies might be an option before they expire….

Borat

Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb

Predator

Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian

Life of Pi

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Alien-Vs-Predator

Rio 2

Rio

Night At The Museum

I Robot

We Bought A Zoo

Robots

Predator 2

Live Free Or Die Hard [Die Hard 4.0]

Alvin And The Chipmunks

Big Trouble In Little China

Lincoln

Alvin And The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked

The Monuments Men

Conan the Barbarian

A Good Day to Die Hard

Aliens In The Attic

Dude, Where's My Car?

Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie

Batman (1966)

A Good Day to Die Hard (Extended Cut)

Because Of Winn-Dixie

Obviously you don't need to have an Amazon Priime account or a stash of Amazon £1 No Rush Delivery Credits to take advantage of these movies if any of them float you boat

Edit 19/11
I forgot to mention, if you aren't an Amazon Prime member these credits are also sometimes added to your account when you purchase or rent a movie, or purchase music from Amazon. It's therefore still worth checking if you have any credits and you're not an Amazon Prime member or if you are haven't opted in to their 'No Rush Delivery' promo.

I should add, if you don't know if you have any credits or exactly how many, the way you can check is by clicking on the movie title you want to buy - under the 'Rent' or 'Buy' purchase options you will see a hyper-link entitled 'More Purchase Options'.

Click on the link and you will be given a number of options - a link at the very bottom of these options is 'Redeem a gift card or promotion code'.

Click on that link and it will show your 'Amazon Video' credit balance. (Follow the same procedure to find out how many Amazon Music credits you have)

They don''t make it easy to check do they!!

I reckon they count on the majority of people forgetting or not bothering to check the credits they are entitled to...like they need the money!!

I Have £1 credit I didn't know about. Thanks OP. I also have a pointless Amazon pantry credit - like you I don't use the pantry, I find it very expensive. All that switching from video credit to pantry credit has done is increase the pressure on the delivery people, as less people take the no rush. More people buy at the weekend so the pressure is on then.

It says I have £17 credit for Amazon and 15 for Amazon video. I knew about the credit but not the video one, don't know how lol.

Heat added, nice to see all the added detail too and effort to put all titles into one easy deal post.

Isn’t that part of the point? Switch between the two to manage demand for pickers and drivers? I think you’re right, people may be less keen with pantry vouchers.

Awesome post - thank you

Ha! I've bought about 35 albums this year with my no rush credits!

Thank you, just brought a £4.99 movie for £2.49 with credit I didn’t even know I had

It's weird, that link says I've only got £1 left, but when I check the other way as already mentioned, I've got £1.51 left?

The point odd that previously, if your order wasn't time important you could order on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday ) when most orders are made) and get the £1 credit. Amazon could them delivery on Tuesday or Wednesday when the delivery team are under less pressure. More, less people go for the pantry credit and so have next day delivery. More deliveries at the weekend - more pressure for delivery team - more late/failed deliveries -costing Amazon more in the long run. Maybe if they gave a choice of either pantry or video credit?

Great post, and thanks for the effort. I'd forgotten about my credits, as Amazon do seem to make them invisible without some digging!

Heated for the effort but like the Op I've only got Pantry credits

TY for the effort OP

My point is that they can switch between the two benefits to massage demand in different areas. So if they see that I’m more likely to choose delayed delivery with pantry and they need to shift some demand back a bit they could change my delivery bonus to be pantry. When they don’t need to they could switch me to video credit. (Or the other way round depending on how I react to the offers. The point I’m trying (not very well) to make is that they can see how you react to each award. Then amend as they need to in order to massage demand.

I've bagged about 15 albums with my credits too, mostly from last year and run up to Christmas when they were doing the £3 no rush credit promo.

I was kinda saying that to anyone who only had a couple of £1 credits and were just looking for something effectively 'free' to spend them on.

On Amazon Music, I couldn't find any albums for £2 that was worth listening to, and I spent ages sorting through some pretty dire stuff!! which is why I thought movies would be a better option if you only have a couple of credits.

If you have plenty of credits or think you will have with Christmas coming up or want to use the credits as part payment then obviously that's a different story. A lot of people just simply forget they have them and they end up expired, well that's happened to me in the past anyway.

Woo-Hoo! #Predator.

How do you filter, or was this just a one off, I only have £3 and don't want to spend anything.
