Looks like everywhere else this has gone back up to the £50 mark, but Maplins looks like it's has plenty of stock in store at £34.99.

Looks like the Fire 8 16gb is also available for £55.99 with free delivery too, beating Amazon's current £79.99. maplin.co.uk/p/k…4yg

Maplins has gone under

Well, they're in administration so not far off. I'd be buying on credit card to get protection if I was interested in this.

Minimum £100 spend for section 75 protection
Surely the Fire 6HD is better direct from amazon for £38? This is really low res and 8GB.
I remember Posting a far superior Amazon Fire Tablet 8 HD (and for Maplin also), 1 Day before your one, here:

hotukdeals.com/dea…018

And that one went cold, but this one goes hot? - for pretty the same thing?.

(And it was still known at the time that Maplin were going under ... )

Kind of interesting how this voting thing works like, huh?, lol.

That's SERIOUSLY come down in price?.

As for the last x-Years going, those Fire 6 HD Device's have been clearing at around/between the £80+ to £90+ mark? - easy (and via Amazon themselves).

So for £38 instead now? (to say I'm surprised is an understatement ... )

Despite it's slightly smaller form-factor over that of the Fire 7, I've almost always preferred the Fire 6 HD over that of the Fire 7.

As the Fire 6 HD had superior 'everything' within it, to that of it's bigger brother at the time (the Fire 7).

The only thing that put me off of it for a while was it's near to £100 price bracket ... (pretty much like how the price of the original Amazon Fire 7 was about around the £100 mark around 6 year's back or so?, before Amazon then re-launched a slightly lower specced version of the same thing around 4 year's ago, for around the £50 mark instead).

It's only through random one-off Deal's hear and there that that the Fire 7 dips below the £30/£40 price bracket?.

But an even rarer scarcity when the Fire 6 dips below £50/£60 although?.

Not a bad Deal that at all. :-)
Does anyone know if Amazon plan to have gps on Kindle fire in the near future? I need a tablet that has gps, so I can use it as a satnav as well as a tablet for reading books and watching films. Nothing too serious nor expensive, cheap and cheerful.
