The negative reviews were based on the original £99 price, and often mention the difficult setup (Kids can't have an account , needs to be under an adult account)

It wasn’t the price that swayed me. I didn’t see any bad reviews mentioning the price. It was down to the poor range of free books. We did a quick search and none of the books my daughter reads were included. It will mostly be used as a backup to real books when she is travelling. I was going to get a standard e-reader after that but went for the paperwhite instead.

The price doesn't need to be directly mentioned, when you're paying a premium for the "free" books, the price is one of the main factors

Gets delivered tomorrow ( for a Christmas present). I have a paperwhite personally but (for this cost) access to the books and the 2 year no quibble warranty is a big selling point
Do you have a case for your paperwhite. Is it worth getting one? Not seen one before so don’t know how strong the body/screen is.

Yes, it's not just for Kids but your wife may be a bit ****** being given the kids edition! Personally I'd buy the kindlewhite for an adult, you can get refubs at this price
