any reason why it is not good?
because of the availability or the product or the price?

Definitely not the cheapest "slow juicer on the market"

Try Andrew James 400w at around £60-70 on eBay. This is probably under 200w. I've had mine for 14months still going strong on a juice fast currently so heavy use too.

I've had one of these for about 6 months and it works amazingly. Hot from me because it's a lot less than I paid.

But that's not available anywhere - even on Ebay. So I guess this is the cheapest masticating juicer.

Well ours arrived. Very powerful and quick, munched through enough oranges, carrots, grapes and apples to fill the supplied jug in a couple of minutes or so. Very easy to wash up too - certainly a tenth of the faff that used to be involved when we used to have a centrifugal juicer, pulp is much drier too. Very pleased so far - thanks for the heads-up OP!

Good for you.
Shame I decided to cancel the order based on the negative score here.
Bad call, I guess.

Yes I think you might have made the wrong decision there.

If the cheapest juicer you can get is only £20 (I don't actually know what cheap juicers sell for) then you will only get hot votes on here if you can find one for £10.

It doesn't matter if the product is good or bad you will only get people voting hot here if it looks cheap, whether in reality it is good value or not. Hotness on HUKD is not a good way of judging if if something is worth buying or not.

When you posted your deal, I then spent a frantic twenty-five minutes or so researching the product. I wasn't in the market for a new juicer, I had been looking ten years or more ago for a masticating juicer because it had become clear to me, from experience, that centrifugal ones were crap. But after realising anything useful was £200+ I gave up. So when you posted the deal I was interested - I'd never seen a vertical masticating juicer, and it does seem to solve the problems inherent in the horizontal ones. And at sub £100 a reasonably cheap solution. Reviews seemed good, with only negative reviews by people who are obviously a bit challenged clouding the picture.

On the whole it seems a good machine, though I have to admit I spent five minutes thinking the thing didn't work because I didn't have the top properly lined up - doh! I hope it lasts a bit more than the 3 year warranty.

Kale shots from the garden tomorrow!
