It highlights the lying nature of the maker's claims

It doesn't. They are all like that. Some have containers as small as 1.5L. The first day or so of running it will pull a lot of water out, and need emptying often. The amount will then drop off significantly as the building dries.

If you want it to be attention free, connect it to a drain.

If it had a 21 litres storage capacity for water then it would be ~twice the size. It would be rather heavy to carry 21l of water to a sink or drain to dispose of it. As nihcaj has said, there is a short pipe for continuous drainage.

This item has been cheaper in previous lightning deals.

Show me a domestic dehumidifier with a 21 litre collection tank.
Up to 21 litre means that it could remove that amount if the location it is used in is seriously damp.

I bought the screwfix one a couple of months ago that was £129ish, but reduced to £89.99. I wasn't sure if it would be up to much, but it has been fantastic. Far, far better that the Ebac, that recently failed, that it replaced.

Mine has a 10 litre tank and can only draw 15 litres a day max. I reckon to draw 21L per day with that little wattage you would have to heat your damp house such that it was like Singapore in the wet season!!

and?
