Might well be old news but doesn't do any harm to remind people........unless this is against the rules:whistling:

Other thread is more than a month old hence this heads up is fine.

Welcome to HUKD mbdx7as2

I applied for this card just to get the £15, but as the card is an MBNA card and i already have an MBNA card they refused my application.

That was not the case when amazon still used Halifax. I'd cancel the MBNA card if I were you. They don't give a rebate.

Its probably because.... not only have i had an MBNA card for years, but some time ago i applied for another MBNA card that was offering free motorcycle luggage, i got the card, used it for a while to get the free luggage, then promptly ended my account on that card leaving just the one MBNA card.... which i pay off every month and never incur interest.
So they know i wont be a good earner for them.

Its nothing to do with whether you got MBNA card or not... It's you credit rating/history.

I applied for mine and they called me up and said I already got 2 MBNA cards (which I no longer used actively) and they said I could get the Amazon one but only at a lower Credit amount.

So I got my card, used it on amazon and cut it up

And in the process, I also cancelled my other 2 MBNA cards too!

Well my credit rating is 100% good, paid off mortgage, no debts outstanding, and i've never incurred interest on credit cards because i pay them off every month. So i believe they refused my application because i've used them in the past just to get free gifts.

Maybe they don't like bikers Jeff...... :whistling:

I actually signed up for this yesterday.

Approved straight away and they add the card to your account so you can buy straight off. Worth £15 off a christmas present.

Got this camera for less than £50 (Samsung ES55 Digital Camera - Silver) using the £15 off credit card.
