Nice find

So...my previous 99p sub ended last weekend so I won't be eligible for this, but, if I use a different 'non-prime' account to take up this offer can I switch my Echo (...which is linked to the old account) to this new account?

...wish they'd just charge the £3.99 via Echo to unlimited on any device, I'd probably stump up for that.

Thanks OP.

Can we cancel the sub straight away, or does it stop when we do?

Good timing if you intend to bang out some tunes over the Christmas season, especially if you're not subscribed to music streaming service already.

Checking this out right now, the interface & playlists look better to some that I've tried. Will see if it's worth keeping over Google Music Play, which I've been very happy with so far.

P.S. Can't see any Chromecast abililty though, which is a big negative for me

Where was that? As I used the previous 3 month offer I cannot use this :-(

Amazon actually subscribed me to this service without my consent I'm the only one that use any of my devices so no one else could have done it. I found out last Sunday and they issued a full refund..

Pretty sure it was a student offer and same rules applied, can't use if had a trial etc.

I signed up for a free trial about a week ago, gutted I can't get this now

So they will work with chromecast audio now?

Good platform. Just used a free month unfortunately. Groupon were also doing a three month free amazon music unlimited offer recently. Onto deezer now, 99p for three months. Also very good.

Spotify and google i found not as good.

I hope to never have to pay a tenner a month for these things but im sure evenentually the offers will dry up

On the trial I used I was able to arrange a cancellation and it ran until the expiry date. You could probably arrange to cancel on day one.

I now have a cast button on my android App

Waited for this. Have standard amazon music but only 2 million songs. This is great. Playlists galore here I come. Woohoooo

Deezer or Amazon music?

Is this better than Spotify? Spotify doesn't accept NUS anymore so I'm paying full price but Amazon does and it's £4.99 a month after (after the deal obviously) - can anyone confirm which is better?

Also heat added nice find OP

I have paid 10 pounds over 6 month for this. First used the free trail than the nme discount than the groupon one. I must say we use it alot for sleep music for the little one (thoight its the same white noise sound looped infinitly) and sometimes other music but if it was like 10 pounds every 6 month i would pay but dont find it worth much more than that. Maybe its just us but we dont lissen to that much music to make it worth it

I'd be interested in a Tidal offer if anyone has some info. Heat added regardless as its a great deal

Excellent deal, thanks OP, just signed up

Any way to buy as a gift?

Is it easy to cancel?

Anyone managed to get Alexa to play one of your own playlists? I created one yesterday called 'Chrimbo', got home and said 'Alexa play my playlist Chrimbo'...response 'I don't see Chrimbo playlist in your music library'...I said 'Alexa, what playlists do I have'...response 'you have the following playlists, Chrimbo'...I said 'Alexa play my playlist Chrimbo...response 'I don't see Chrimbo playlist in your music library'!

...tried the whole process about ten times and it only worked on two occasions...but it did work so why didn't it work all the time? Maybe she got the hump 'cos of all the abuse I hurled at her!!!

Amazon do for their prime account but don't accept NUS for Music.

I already get unlimited music for free - it's called Youtube Got a large list of favourites. If you minimise the video window you get less ads.

We get this from time to time. It's very frustrating. We use the old technical trick of turning it off and back on again. Usually works. Sometimes we re-name playlists to something clearer if the problem persists. You can also play the playlist via your linked device and that usually solves the problem subsequently too

Little disappointed with this if honest. I purchased to try out voice control on my Sonos...yes it ONLY works with a single DOT and cannot stream to other devices.

Its a trial to get people interested in buying a service...why not just give full functionality for the entire trial period?
Oh well, at least it was only 99p

So you cant get it for £4.99 if you have an amazon student account with an NUS card only?

I've just signed up on Amazon student but haven't taken the music offer of 6 months for £6.
Can I take up that offer at any time?
Was thinking of signing up to this 3 month offer then going for the 6 months for £6 offer after the 3 month 99p offer runs out.

Great service for a crazy bargain price. Just wishing Amazon Music gets up to speed on playlists, Spotify playlists are wonderfully curated and Amazon Music just needs to improve a little more on this front.

Using the Amazon Music App you can download music for offline listening, similar to how the premium Spotify subscription works.

Here's the Amazon help link for how to download music to listen offline: amazon.co.uk/gp/…240

Just a heads up... while Amazon prime accept NUS cards as proof of being a student... Amazon music is run by a third party and they don't accept NUS cards... I tried to upgrade to unlimited last week and they needed financial proof of bills for your course etc.
So I'm taking up this offer!
Cheers op

Chromecast is now supported from the Android app, I believe it isn't yet from the ios app.

Already had Prime membership and just gone for this.

How do I cancel so that it doesn’t switch to £7.99 a month, I can’t find it anywhere?
