there certainly isn't anything smart about it, Coke moved to this years after Dasani launch went south over here, massive in the US but we don't like council pop messed about with and rebottled and sold as a premium this stuff is just the same another way to get people to pay more. The reality is the Morpeth water is very good probably just doesn't allow them to add an extra mark up.

"GLACÉAU Smartwater is made from British spring water which is vapour-distilled before electrolytes are added. It has a distinctive, crisp, clean taste and is produced and bottled in Morpeth, Northumberland.

To make GLACÉAU Smartwater, we evaporate spring water, condense the vapour and then add just the right amount of electrolytes before bottling.

Below you'll find some important information about GLACÉAU Smartwater - ingredients, nutritional values and reference intake (RI) information - to help you make informed choices.

Ingredients: Spring Water, Electrolytes: Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Potassium Bicarbonate."

Tastes great. It's very reasonably priced on this deal. I get mine at Costco.

Mike Lean, professor of nutrition at Glasgow University, said: ‘Adding electrolytes sounds scientific, doesn’t it?

‘Some people who don’t have medical or scientific training imagine that with all that scientific-looking stuff the product must be beneficial. But it does nothing at all for health.’

Health benefits or not, this water tastes much more cleaner and crisp than tap water. After drinking the smart water i refilled it using tap water and the tap water tasted horrid.

It's not about removing some calcium compounds and replacing them. It's about removing all the other crap. As this is all alternative to tap water , when you are out it helps you avoid some of the toxins that are in tap.water.
We do not all have lush waters from paradise to drink. For example water in Birmingham is heavily fluoridated, I have often attributed the accent to that reason alone!.
