Not really a pod fan myself as it can work out very expensive but whilst looking for a machine for a xmas pressie I came across this on the amazon website and thought it looked a good deal.

heres the link to the ebay one - it is 'refurbished' so may not be ideal if buying for a gift

Good price, but Tesco/Asda don't seem to have the senseo pods. Any chance of these becoming paperweights?

Ordered, thanks, will be nice Christmas gift for my sister in love

Larger Tescoes certainly carry the pods. Lidl sell them too (18x1pack)- though gone up from £1.49 to £1.59 in the last year.

Great price. Have been using a Senseo for a couple of years and because you can get so many good 'generic' pods, it works out very cheap, I wouldn't say the coffee can compare with a Nespresso, but then one coffee costs me less than 10% of the Nespresso (the supermarket brand I am using which in my opinion is very good coffee costs me around 4p per cup).

Does anyone now what is special with this 'viva' model? Mine is getting old and I fancy the looks of the black one so trying to find a good excuse to get a new one

From what I can see using the comparisons on phillips website the only difference seems to be the water tank capacity and the auto-off time. See here:-
