Seems like a decent price for a whole home, mesh, system with router and satellite system. I haven't seen these much below retail at £299.99.

I've just bought one, having also bought a Google Wi-fi from eBay a few days ago (which will probably have to go back on eBay...).

I understand that this mesh system is meant to be one of the best for speed from the satellite, with plenty of customisation options.

It's compatible with Alexa too/Amazon Echo.

Only available today.

Worth noting that this is the fairly recently released AC2200 version, not the AC3000 version that is on sale at Amazon for £299.99 (down from £399.99) - Link here

I have the RBK50 version and it is fantastic!

There seem to be a few complaints on the Netgear forums about the satellites dropping connections. Have you had any issues?

Be aware that the satellite does not support wired where backhaul. So satellites communicate to the main hub via wireless only.

yes all the time, on ipads - drops connection for about 10 seconds and then reconnects. I have even unhidden the SSID to try and stop it!!

This happens on my bt home hub, no idea why, it never happens on any other wifi device.

You'd think the connection on these would be rock solid for the price. You could just buy a couple of cheap routers with repeater modes (Tenda AC6 AC1200 is a good example £20ish) and daisy chain them.

Nope. Not that I've noticed and my sons' gaming pc and two Xboxes are connected to the satellite.

And the wireless backhaul has its own 5ghz channel giving real world speeds of over 600mbps.

Thanks. Early days here, but no complaints so far. Easy to set up and nice strong signal throughout the house.
