Amazon Prime (next day shipping) Free trial for a month

I don't know if everyone qualifies for this, but I placed an order this morning and was offered a 1 month free trial of Amazon Prime, which is usually £47.97 / year and offers free next day shipping and reduced fast shipping.

It automatically renews after the month is up, charging you £47.97 , but it's a simple matter to turn off the renewal immediately and get the month free.

Perfect for last minute christmas shopping during this festive period. HTH someone

I have done this and saved quite a bit on postage already. Have bought a few cheap stocking fillers which would otherwise have been too expensive without free postage. If you are registered with Amazon, you can set a reminder in your personal page - to remind you to cancel before the month is up!

I have saved a lot already as well so I'm not sure why people are voting this cold as its a free offer, as long as you remember cancel it before the month is up.
If you vote cold please can you let me know why?

Indeed, I took this up, and immediately set the preferences to "do not renew" - that way I got my free month and had no worries about forgetting to cancel.

A good deal, as at that point the min order for free delivery was £15. Now that the min order is £5, it isn't so good. But then the "next day" guarantee is.

a very good deal.

Not sure if related, but when I clicked the 'Up' arrow to give heat, the temperature when down, rather a lot, so not sure if the system is playing up, and hence the negative heat you are receiving.

:giggle::giggle::giggle: exactly

I trialled this service and it was fantastic. I didn't continue with it due to price which I thought was a bit high given my level of ordering. Recommended and hot.

I agree this is a good deal - I used it myself for the free month - but I must say that next day shipping doest mean next day delivery and definitely doesnt mean it will be delivered at all!!
Was probably just a poor experience rather than a poor service, but I ordered a camera and a memory card at the same time. Camera arrived 3 days after postage and the memory card didnt arrive at all!
Great for a free trial, but definitely not worth the money once the trial runs out!

Sign-in, and go to the homepage, on the left hand side, in 'Amazon Services' there is an Amazon Prime Link, you can do it in there. :santa:

this next day guarantee, do you get any come back if it's late?
last Thursday I ordered and it didn't arrive until Saturday and on Tuesday
night I made another order but that's not arrived today so that'll be Friday
at the earliest...

its only a next day guarantee if you pay the extra £4.40(Normally £7.65 i think). So Amazon prime is free 1 day delivery(Which really means shipping) so if u buy an item it will get despatched the same day providing the item is elegible for the service and you have ordered before a certain time of the day. It is then Posted Via Royal Mail 1st class or some items via citylink. which on royal mails website 1st class is 1-3 days(maybe more going by their backlog this xmas. . . Does this Help You's Guys

Hi I posted this must of been just a few hours after you. This is a great save!

This is a good deal however from past experience "1 day delivery" does not mean it will always come next day. I've had things still take 2/3 days when selecting this through amazon prime.

Still a one month free trial is a great offer none the less and I found it was very straight forward in canceling the service.

I have this, ordered around 15 things since and got everything the next day so H & R

I've been happily using the free Amazon Prime trial for the last 10 days or so. It's meant I've been able to order things right up until the last minute and my final things arrived today. I've definitely bought things from Amazon that I wouldn't have otherwise but I won't be carrying on with the service due to the annual cost. I'll just have to be more organised next year!

No come back at all. Usually it arrives next day, but that depends on the carrier, and if it's Royal Mail (as it usually is for small stuff) it often doesn't. They send it First Class, but if it doesn't arrive next day, tough luck.

How do you even sign up? When clicking Amazon Prime, I see nothing about a free trial - do I just sign up as normal?

Well all the stuff ordered today has been sent via Citylink and Royal Mail Special Delivery (They have to get all parcels out by tomorrow) so I'm not worried about it being delayed tbh. Hopefully it isnt delayed and I might have to drive down to Citylink myself and get the items.

Don't seem be getting it.

I get one Amazon Prime advert but it just says "Join Amazon Prime and get unlimited Free First Class Delivery. ".

Nothing about a free month.

HOTHOTHOT BTW!!

Ordered 7 things yesterday before 1pm, and all here before lunchtime. 5 big packages from Citylink and 2 Special delivery from Royal Mail. How much that is in posting is a lot! if it were me sending it!!!

I was buying something and in the checkout page it said 'join amazon prime' so i clicked it thinking i might be able to look and see if it mentioned a free trial and it only joined me right away without asking for confirmation or anything! Had a bit of a panic until I saw you can cancel it as long as you haven't ordered anything so now my membership is pending cancellation. Fingers crossed I get my 50quid back!
