Saw this on Amazon and been holding it off until I saw it at this price. It's a remastered version of the film that came out at the end of last year

It comes with a documentary, behind-the-scenes and extended version as well.

If you don't have Prime, you can get it at Base.com for £12.99 £13.49 (slight price change) with free delivery: base.com/buy…htm

Nice find - one of my favourite films of all time!

Heat
I would be interested in the 3D version, but it doesn't have great reviews.
Fortunately for the first reviewer he can't spell 'gentials' or his review would never have been published
Judgment Day*

Weird American abuse of the English language, there.

I was nonplussed by this reissue. The 3D was unremarkable regardless of how many ‘artists’ James Cameron tells you have worked on it.
If you’re looking for just a 2D cut, the cheaper Skynet Blu-ray is invariably better value and exactly the same.
No doubt that a 4K ultra-blu disc is imminent soon.
Milk that franchise.
Ah look at this baby face! He was so young!
3D is meant to be very good indeed.

James Cameron revisited the dearly beloved action sci-fi sequel and bestowed the original camera negatives with a brand-new 4K restoration. Those elements were then remastered for a new 3D conversion, which was shown theatrically in select cinemas this last summer. The results, I'm happy to report, are a spectacular and astonishing 1080p/MVC MPEG-4 encode, giving fans another reason to purchase the film yet again on home video. The extra dimension adds another layer to the story's thrilling action sequences and provides a substantially immersive effect to their enjoyment.

4K been out for ages, and 3D is great.

You need to read the right reviews it seems. Proper Review the picture offers a wealth of 3D goodness for loyal fans of both the movie and the format.

Another Great review. The 3D conversion is fantastic – in-fact it’s one of the best I’ve ever seen. The clean-up on the print married with the striking visuals in 3D really add something new to the mix.

I didn’t notice until you said you hadn’t noticed and then I realised what I hadn’t noticed this whole time! That hurts.

You just got schooled son.
Got it for this price the other week. Go to say I hadn't seen the film for a long time, I was worried at the start as the 3D in the opening scene did feel like an old Commodore parallax game and the layers were visible. However as the film moved on I thought the 3D was as it should be subtle, providing depth and no pop in your face tricks. The quality of the picture I thought was really good and despite being 3D and having a tendency to darken the picture, I never really thought it did here.
Overall I enjoyed this release and glad I have it in my 3D collection. I would say don't expect the 3D to make you go Wow, but more draw you into the action, such as the Bike vs the Truck.
Seeing this in 4K 3D was one of my favourite cinema experiences last year (along with BR2049). The 3D is brilliant.

The 3D isn't the problem it's the awful noise reduction and edge enhancement that's the eyesore. It's one of the worst 4K remasters of a high profile movie in recent memory. It's been tailored for 3D so the 2D versiosn look nothing like the original film.

Well if it looks good in 3D, that's all I'm interested in. 3D seems to be despised for some reason and seems to becoming something of a rarety, it's quite difficult to buy a 3D HD TV (fortunately I've got two) and do they even make 4K TVS?

Great film.

Skynet version also has THX Optimiser on, which is useful/not that common anymore.

With 3D? Yes, but there have only been one or two in the last few years (I think LG and Panasonic put them out). Most projectors can handle 3D and if they get the glasses-free 3D TVs working efficiently, then our 3D Blu-rays will be compatible.
