I have two of these and they're really good for the price . Use it for cat monitor and drive. Good night vision too
Do you pay for their Cloud? If so how much is it?
Will it save recording to a SD card?

You can use SD card or cloud storage. Not sure how much it is as I paid anually but I know it has gone up recently.
It also supports Alexa show.
Hmm, do I need this one? I have 2 720p dome, 1 1080p external, 3 720p internal... :/
If this thing really a good deal when you can get the below at the standard non-discounted price of £25:

Can you use motion recording and constant recording at the same time? Eg if motion is detected it is saved to the cloud but the camera recorded to the SD card continually in the background?

Yes. All of mine are on constant record (get about a week on a 32gb card) and I just have the ‘free’ 6 second motion clips which are saved to the cloud

Thanks that's great. It's just the sub costs which put me off the yi then really. Do you know if the neos can continuous record and capture motion as well?

Neos only records for 10 seconds . You need to upgrade if you want longer clips. By the time i open garage shutters 10 seconds are already passed. But then they all need subscription, don’t they?

The Neos will record to an sd card but you can not access without removing the card and looking on a computer unlike the Yi which you can access in the camera with the app.
not only does the Neos only record 10secs but will not record again for five minutes without subscription so don’t get sucked in by ‘free’ cloud recording. I think it has a better image but access is crap
They’re especially great if you use Homebridge and you want to integrate them in to Apple’s HomeKit. They can be flashed easily with custom firmware for integration. Works a treat!
You can also install 3rd party firmware on these to open up additional features. I'm automatically pulling the video files off of my cameras via FTP and storing them on my NAS for example.

Do you have any guides to do the auto pulling of files from the SD card, wouldn't mind trying this out myself
Does anyone know of this works with echo show?

It's just a few lines of Python I wrote that runs from an RasPi, but could just as easily be done in bash, Win batch script, or powershell. There's also utils that can do it, such as rsync.
Can the recorded footage recorded to the SD Card be viewed via the app on your phone?

Can't do that with my 2 x Neo's and its such a fundamental requirement

I can view the footage from SD card in the mobile app and on the desktop PC app.
39042165-GVDkz.jpgHas anyone else noticed this for their yi cam? Only appears in the 1080p one I have!

Thanks. Going to order one. Shame i bought 2 of the Neos cameras a few weeks ago. Starting to think these would have been a better option
I have an Tenvis IP camera for my cats which I can view in real-time on the iMega-Cam iOS app and it sends me email alert when motion is triggered. Does this do the same and is that a free option?
What's the motion detection like on this? Can I select a certain area on view?
expired?
