There have been a few of these from various brands, and I have a few and they seem to vary in quality, and some seem to break, and ports stop working.

This one from AmazonBasics is a new one for me, but I've got other stuff from the Basics range, and I like it. If anything goes wrong with this one, I'll have more confidence in Amazon putting it right.

Not the cheapest it's ever been- looks like it went down to £14.12 a couple of times in the last year, but still a decent price that might help somebody else.

Is it mains powered?

Yes.
So doesn’t need a pc to be plugged into it? How long is cable from plug to unit? I need about 2/3m’s if possible. I ask because I am thinking of using one of these inside the smart mirror I am making and I need 2 USB ports (for power) and only want one cable down to plug opposed from 2 (Fire 7 and Google Home mini).

Awesome. Just need 5 friends so I have a reason to use the ports. Did I say friends? I meant devices.

Probably uses a standard figure 8/C7 power lead is its anything like all the other usb chargers I have. You can buy whatever length you need.

No, it's purely a USB power supply. It won't even function as a USB hub and doesn't have any upstream connections.

The pictures show what looks like a standard C7 power connector so even if the cable is too short you can easily replace it.
Awesome so perfect for my use.
Anyone know the length of power cable from plug to USB port.

No. It's just a standard usb 5V with the max of 2.4 amps per port (so roughly 12W max per port). It's advertised as 60W due to it able to support up to 5 ports outputting at 2.4amps (12W) at the same time.

You would need something that fully supports the USB-PD standard on a type c port if you want to charge at 60W (20V at 3A).
There are very few USB chargers that has a type C that can output max 60W.
Not sure how good the product is but this shold support up to 60W charging on the type C.
