Details
  • Cross-cut shredder with 15.5 L bin
  • 8-sheet capacity (no need to remove staples)
  • Destroys credit cards (one at a time)

Destroys Credit Cards Inserted one at a time into the designated area of the shredder, credit cards are completely destroyed, offering valuable peace of mind.

Easy Operation In auto mode, shredding begins once the sensor detects something to be shredded. Shredded paper then drops into the 15.5 L bin below, and manual reverse makes easy work of clearing any paper jams.

The cross-cut shredder will run continuously for 3 minutes before needing a 30-minute cool-down. If it shreds continuously beyond the max running time and begins to overheat, the unit will automatically shut off to protect the motor.

Perfect for light use in a small business or home office, the cross-cut shredder conveniently fits under a desk or other workstation for easy access throughout the day. Even more, the shredder removes effortlessly when it's time to empty the bin.

Heated, been after a shredder for a while and this seems a great price. Had a few Amazon Basics items before and despite the name they are actually pretty premium quality IME, hope this proves to be the same....
Been on look out for a decent shredder for a reasonable price. Ordered thanks op

I've bought this shredder a while back and its still going strong. Alot of heat added to this🔥🔥🔥🔥
Now even slightly cheaper at £20.20!

That's a man's shredder, not a Nancy boy shredder.
Right, I ordered this yesterday & it arrived today, started shredding all my old post/payslips, 5 mins in & it got jammed and i cannot un jam it...for the sake of a few pounds i'm going to have to unscrew it & do a bit of DIY...bit miffed, but better than sending it back with all the hassle..if that does not work, its going in the skip..:(

Have you tried the Reverse function, which is designed for unjamming?
BTW, all shredders have short running time before a cooling down is required. Try not to shred lot of things in one go; this may help to avoid problems.

Try WD40 / clipper oil on the blades then running another sheet through.

My (very old) shredder kept jamming, then I read that you can easily repair it by putting hair clipper oil between two sheets of printer paper and running it through the shredder. It works better than it has for years!
Be worth trying it, before you take it apart

Doh just chucked one away for the same reason.
Oh well something to remember if this one goes the same way.
I won't this but for me not worth £20 you could just get a perma marker, scribble out the important stuff, put it in a sink and squeeze the paper into a ball than you're probably good

Best to burn it, shredding doesn't make it unreadable even the government burns it all
I heard the government puts all paper documents in furnace if there's an emergency like say the Headquarters get raided by Russians

Have you not even thought about contacting Amazon customer service? Petty sure they will just send you another one. Or atleast give you a refund.
Just ordered. Cheers!;)

We have this model at the office - always jams!We had them all replaced in the end. it's fine for a couple sheets at once, but if you're going for it, then my advice would be to use it sparingly, or otherwise avoid.
Ordered mine last night and its out for delivery today which is impressive seeing as i dont have prime!
Just ordered £21.19 right now.

Took it apart this morning & had a fiddle, all working again now. if you do the same, there is a screw under the white little round sticker, which i did not know about, until i gave it a yank and that part broke, still all good now.
