I think most of the under £50 microwaves are generic, same microwave with a different brand on it. My last 3 microwaves were identical, but all have a different brand on them. I think this is good for 3 year warranty.
We have an Ambiano one and it's absolutely fine. 3 year warranty too so you can't really go wrong with it

Same with my last rebadged 'SHARP' lasted 4 years and started to rust, one before that lasted 15 years +

This will do perfectly, i'm sure i'll be able to nick a Panasonic badge from PC World next time I ever visit, should look
quite cool on the front of this £45 job I just bought

Generally common knowledge,as with certain TV sets, washing machines etc and in my specific case the service guy who had repaired a 4 year old microwave for the second time, before condemning it finally.Interestingly enough the one before that was problem free for over 8 years, only changed because redone kitchen and old one was a huge thing that got in the way.Not completely certain, think its some Turkish mob that churn out all sorts of electrical items. No anti-Turkish sentiment either before someone gets triggered in faux outrage.

My last 3 microwaves were identical, but all 3 different brands. All under £50. Unfortunately even when you buy a good brand, you dont always know what you buy.

True, dont mind so much when were talking £50-£100,annoying when over £100-£150,Daily Mail style outraged when over £150.Best microwave I used was a Delonghi that my late mother had, cost £60 or so and lasted over 15 years, irony is Delonghi microwaves are often Argos specials, not Delonghi as such.Sharp practice at the least Imho.

I've learned my lesson with the JVC and Toshiba TVs, as well with my Grundig tumble dryer. I agree, the sad part is that sometimes you pay lots of money and you receive a rubbish no name product, with a well known brand tag on it. My present microwave is Akai. Years ago Akai was premium, now it does not even exists, still you find Akai branded products.
Good to have the 3 year warranty. I was just about to get a similarly specced Panasonic for £70 but agree that the brand has gone downhill in the last few years.

LG still does their own TVs. Same with Sony and Samsung.

Out of curiosity, what are you doing on HUKD considering you spent £370 on a microwave and 3.5K on a TV? Clearly you didn't take advantage of a deal here on these 2 products. Off course your microwave will last you 10 years when you spend 5 times more on it than the average microwave price. I only use the microwave for warming up stuff, for me £370 is a lot to spend on a microwave, however if you need other features, perhaps yes, may worth to spend that kind of money.

I don't use this site for tat and cheap stuff BTW, but I admit, I buy cheap stuff too. Cheap stuff could be an old TV model, or phone, which is probably not tat, it may be outdated but will suit my needs. I just asked, because clearly the stuff you've mentioned at that prices was probably not listed here. People list cars here and some are hot deals.
However, for reheating, personal choice, I will never spend £370 on a microwave. With the TV, perhaps yes, I go with a decent/expensive one, but still not at that price.
Anyway, not judgemental, people have different priorities and I purchased a relatively expensive video baby monitor, so others may think I'm wasting money, when in fact is a personal choice.
I never considered this site as a site for cheap stuff, an expensive product, discounted at a reasonable price is still a deal.
