    £450 for last generation cpu seems like a bad deal. Check out the ryzen 7000 series if you're paying this much for a cpu.

    That’s the best ryzen 7 cpu and to be really honest I’d just keep to that one atm

    AMD's 16-core exist as the most efficient desktop processors on the market (performance per watt). Most people paying insane prices for CPUs are 'hod rod' fanatics, water-cooling and over-volting/over-clocking, pulling in terrible amounts of power, in the search for every last gaming frame- the opposite design philosophy of this CPU.

    Efficient when used for work, much higher idle power consumption due to the SoC joining the chiplets.
