Don't vote it cold because it underperforms. This bundle is actually great for people looking to upgrade their old computer on the (very) cheap. Only £42.99 + P&P.

The processor is an Athlon 3000+, which should performs better than a Sempron 3400+. See tomshardware.co.uk/cha…tml

Acting as the bedrock for a fast and solid computing performance, the AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 512KB socket 754 CPU places your desktop computer into the 64-bit era. Backed with HyperTransport technology, this processor can boost system bandwidth and reduce latency, ensuring you get a powerful operation.

Supporting 64-bit computing, the ECS 761GX-M754 motherboard is a modern foundation for an impressive computer system. Backed with Serial ATA connectivity for rapid data transfer, a Fast Ethernet adapter for speedy networking and internet usage and PCI Express capabilities, you can make the best of 21st Century components. Handing you multimedia luxury, this socket 754 motherboard has 6 channel audio for a truly immersive sound experience.

1GB DDR modules are as cheap as chips.... And I've had mixed experience with ECS aka altron, pcchips and a lot more brands... Anyway, I fondly remember a motherboard called M748LMRT which allowed me to overclock the fabled Celeron 300a to a Celeron 450MHz by flicking a switch.. Anyway, those were the days...

1gb of ddr is more expensive then 1gb of ddr2, that is why i want to upgrade xD, i think u can get 4gb of pc6400(ddr2) for same price as 1gb ddr. The bundle isnt bad, but it isnt worth investing in dead technology, dont buy a decent card and then have ram and cpu as the bottle neck thats just asking for fail. AMD 3800's are around £30 and getting a cheap motherboard with ddr2 etc, £30 again. Wont vote cold but wont vote hot, only good if u willing to spend that money instead of going with technology

DDR is much, much more expensive than DDR2. Wish I could get some DDR memory for anywhere near the cost of DDR2.

Cannot agree. I have been building computers for past 10 years. I have never had any problems with ECS or PC Chips boards.
