Pc builders who are not after the very latest spec, and on a restricted budget, could make a good start with this package.

I'm sort of tempted as an upgrade for a 3year old 2500 Athlon XP (socket A) based PC that I'm using at present..only drawback is that I'd also have to buy a PCI Express graphics card as the one I have fitted is AGP.

SNAP!!! :-D This bundle works out about £20 less than buying the bits individually.

My thoughts too but a good offer for anyone just starting to build a new rig, another thought was that they will all start falling in price soon as the new chips start comming out.

You are probably right Brit Brat...it's a case of patience to allow Core 2 and the dual core AMD chips to become the norm in retail PCs then the old chips and mobos will fall to really cheap prices.
