Most of those bundles can be had cheaper buying separate elsewhere.

The 6600k has been cheap on Amazon for a while amazon.co.uk/gp/…CBS

£213 (plus delivery) + any of the cards in that deal are cheaper but the games may tip it for you.

Possibly! The graphics are lowest spec one is around £210. It's the games that'll make this deal worth it.

what are the chances of the 6600k dropping in price when the new i5 comes out dont know whether to wait or not plus will the new i5 cost more

Unlikely as Intel are very good at maintaining their prices. The only thing which might move prices is a very successful introduction of AMD's Zen but AMD probably don't have the manpower to introduce all the variations at once so it might be while until the i5 and i7 competition shows up
Anway, the 'new i5' is just Kabylake which is the same CPU as Skylake with some enhancements to the iGPU and a slightly higher base frequency (pointless for those buying a 'K' processor).

Not a bad deal.. although with Zen around the corner will be interesting how much these skylakes drop ?

They already have and not much, new processors aren't a great improvement.

Yep I think Zen (now Ryzen) is due for release next month - if it is as good as rumoured it will mean Intel may have to slash their prices ... personally I will buy the new AMD chip as I always like rooting for the underdog.

depends on price of zen and release window

The Ryzen chip does seem interesting, and I'm an Intel fan

What an unballanced gaming build this would make.

The 6600k is a great gaming cpu and the 480 is okay as a graphics card at best. 1080p gaming only really

If you're going to be gaming at 1080p, get the 480 and get a cheaper CPU

There currently isnt enough of a price difference in skylake i5s to justify not getting the 6600k IMO. The 480 is fine for 1440p and If you play processor intensive games it is not unbalanced.

so is this a good deal? I need to build a new PC and the processor is one I was after. I was going to get a 1060 6gb too but want to save some money.

Yes this is a good deal. I run a EVGA SC 1070 with an amd fx 8350, cpu does let it down but I still get 60fps 90% of the games. If you're building a pc this will be good and you'll get the 4 free games.
