Mine isn’t. The Corsair SP120/140 Pros I bought on the other hand. Crappy things. This though, not a peep. Might need to reapply thermal paste or improve general case temps if your CPU fan is going haywire. That and there’s a switch on the side for it’s running operation. Definitely wouldn’t have said this is noisey though.
Not the thermal paste as I removed it from mine and put it in my sons pc, so chances I messed the paste up twice has got to be slim, however never noticed the switch so will see if that makes a difference thanks.

Paste isn't a massive importance. We are talking tiny percentage
39510331-08sCV.jpgDefinitely not my lack of fans either, my current cooler runs my 2700x at 36c which is considerably lower than the wraith however the wraith does look very pretty as coolers go😁
39510436-BmCCT.jpgSticking with that as its up for sale

What fans are they? Looking to shift my Corsair ones away. They run too loud, even with profiling and adjusting the fan patterns in BIOS.
They are antec rgb fans.

What are your idle and load temps?

34 idle and 63 load
There is nothing decent about this cooler.
I have put one on Ryzen 3400G and it reaches 85C.
Swapped with a Cryorig H7 and it never goes over 50C.

I have a wraith and it never goes over 45, let alone reaches 50.

Do you game with your 3400G or just web browsing?
Cause in games it goes to 80C+ in under 1 minute on Wraith Prism.

I have a 3600 stock and yes game constantly. Sounds like it’s defective to be honest. What profiling have you done, and does the fan spin at the correct RPM? From what you’re saying, it sounds like it barely spins at all unless it has to?

I have the cooler from my 2700X. I never intended to use it on this cpu, so I mounted it on my wife's 3400G. On 100% fan spin, cpu reaches 86C in gaming.
Bear in mind, 3400G does video processing as well on the cpu, so it might a lot hotter than your 3600.
It's definitely not defective, it's just unsuitable for cooling.

The difference between our CPUs doesn’t render the wraith useless lol
Noise and high temps with the wraith is common you only need to throw it into google to see plenty others experiencing the same. You must just have a rare one. It looks pretty but does a mediocre job. I was also hitting the 80c range under load

I hate 212 evos for their mounting system, but at 25 pounds it's a better alternative.
Sorry to go slightly off topic but I've got an article freezer 13 on an old i2500k. Would I be able to use it as an am4 cooler?TIA

If same as amazon.co.uk/ARCTIC-Freezer-Multicompatible-pre-applied-Performance/dp/B0048F64DU then that cites AM4 compatibility specifically. They may have added an adapter (to the sold product) since you purchased though...but >
