Come on now, this was already posted a week ago.

hotukdeals.com/ite…x4-

Also, you can still get it at scan for about £15 cheaper than your "deal".

Cold. :whistling:

Fantastic chip though. Would highly recommend this to anyone considering an upgrade or new build. The link to the scan deal is here:

Mate, your blind. Its a different processor that u are pointing to in both instances. This is the 940 3ghz version, not the 920 2.8ghz version. There is a dfference, so whistle all u like, or pehaps go and have some coffee, its obvious u need it. --------> out!

i wonder who posted the other ones up??

The Hotukdeals links above shows

"AMD Phenom II X4 940 is £186.29" how is this not the 940 Black edition? Or is yours different?

And the Scan one has the 940 at £190.77

The 940 is only in the Black edition guise and normally black editions do not come with heatsinks but this one does apparently

Does it matter? The fact remains that this is a duplicate post which points to a terrible deal.

Funny you should mention blind. This is for two reasons:

1) The hotukdeals post that I pointed you to covered both processors. The 940 was covered at a price of around £185 or £186.
2) The scan link has the 940 (half way down the page) at £186. That's a full £14 less expensive that your "DEAL".

Please don't try to argue this is a good deal....

Can you see why this deal is so cold now? :-D

OMG thank you so much for copying my words, uve made my day.

to answer ur number 1) and 2) scans carriage is £6.99 you forgot to mention that. So lets do some calculations, since you love them so much. £186.29 + 6.99 = £193.28. Now dont try and argue that "if ur a member of this and that u can get it free" etc, that isnt available to everyone. If you check post 1, u will see that u can get the mentioned processor for £187.95.

So please explain the £14 less theory to me again.....

btw, im not arguing that its a good deal anymore, all im arguing is that its a better deal then urs!

I don't "love" scan. I'm pointing out a better deal for my fellow forum members. I'd do the same if it were the other way around.

Huh? It's available to anyone who is able to make 10 posts on a forum.

If someone lacks the ability to be able to make 10 posts, then I wouldn't advise a processor of this class anyway.

This is the 940 3ghz version, not the 920 2.8ghz version that thomp256 posted! So NOT a duplicate post
hmm 200mhz for a few quid...which one overclocked better? and what the Intel equivalent?

Heat and rep added

The standard price of the Phenom II 940 at Scan is £191:

scan.co.uk/Sea…940

With postage it comes to £198.81.

If you have free Scan postage from one of the forums it is even cheaper.

On Today Only it is currently £186.29:

scan.co.uk/Tod…spx

With postage this comes to £194.33!

Also the 940 on Scan and Ebuyer have the same box code(HDZ940XCGIBOX) which means that they are exactly the same package.
