Very good processor. Heat added.

Im using one of these cpu's and can honestly say easily best price/performance cpu I have ever owned it is very very fast. It runs very cool aswell and 3.4 ghz at only 1.35 volts.

I think this can be had for quite a few quid cheaper on Aria going by the link below...

Cold from me I'm afraid.

It's a decent price, hardly scorching. I would hold off if I were someone considering one of these CPUs, the 6 core thubans are right around the corner, reportedly will be priced v.similar to this so prices of the older Phenom II X4s will probs take about a 15% dive...that's an educated guess from me...

also worth noting one of the new line of AMD CPUs will be a X4 core processor which is actually a X6 core thuban with 2 cores disabled, apparently you'll be able to unlock the cores on most of them with the right motherboard or manual tweaking plus its etail RRP is set to be about ~£120...read more at hexus ]here. Seriously worth a read for anyone contemplating buying this CPU at this price...

Not voting either way

Yeah I do agree with you there if your not in desperate need of a new cpu it is worth waiting until the 6 cores are released, even if you wait just for the price drop on these cpu's. At this price they are fantastic value but with a price drop just around the corner they will be even better value...

Aria has it at £129.24 inc. VAT .

Great processor. Not a special price though. I paid under £130 from Novatech for mine.

intel quadcores at similar price range just run these AMDs over

This will blow away the Core i5, check the benchmark on this, it competes with Intel Core i7 despite being old.

no they don't

Voted hot.

There's always Intel FUD on these AMD deals.

Benchmark stats are higher than i5. The cheapest i7 is £208 @ Scans.
