Well join then. Its a worthwile investment of about 20 minutes of your time!

This will come down a lot more, believe me.

Yep, in the past 17 years I have been building PCs I always have noticed given time processor prices do drop in price!!!! So yes, it will come down a lot more!

Well I'll go with not as traditionally as production slows as they move to a new process the price tends to hold and on occasions selected sku's do rise in price. So yes they may drop a little, but they won't fall massively, remember these are on 45nm silicon so are fairly expensive to produce anyway.

My advice is if you were looking at buying one just buy now as it may go down a few pounds buy for the sake of missing out on a few weeks of this nice processor.

There ae the be 965 and 975, but this is a nice price for the BE :D. If your mobo can support the x6's go for one them :D..

Whilst I am sure it's not everyones point of view, I personally don't feel I should have to. I don't know why they just don't offer free delivery. Given I am unlikely to post on either forum there is not much point in being a member.

Well, I didn't even have to post anything, so that twenty minute time investment just dropped down to 30 seconds if you use a form auto-filler.

Worth considering if you ever do buy from Scan save £5 in 30 seconds

Bit of a strange stance to take considering this is a money saving website. About as ridiculous as saying 'Why should I have to visit HotUKDeals to find bargains?'
Anyway, hopefully some people found my link to getting it cheaper at Scan worthwhile.

I agree, whilst not a regular poster on AVForums, I took advantage of free delivery from Scan, they also do free delivery to those that register at The Gadget Show Live at the NEC, was offered it last year, however I already had it thru AV Forums.
