He doesn't need to prove anything. Anyone who shops regularly for computer components will tell you that the prices of AMD CPU's fluctuate greatly over a short space of time. I bought an AMD X4 955 for £55 last year from CCL. A couple of months prior to purchasing that I bought the same CPU for £85 from Dabs. If you look around now the price for a 955 is back upto £75-80.
good processor. but replaced by better for almost the same price. piledriver fx-6300 for under £92. 30% more performance for less than £5. don't be daft...

The OP just got piledrived into the canvas. ROFL! Quick question though. I'm always on the lookout for cheap components. Where did you see the FX 6300 for under £92? I live close to CCL and instore they sell it for £100. So if I can get it cheaper elsewhere I will.
lucmos.com have it for £92.
overclockers is £96. never used lucmos.com myself, but customer service can't be any worse than OCuk...
I did just link it but it won't allow the links :-/ on overclockers it is £96 and on lucmos . com it is £92. I believe both have free delivery, not 100% about that though.

Good reviews? Where have you been reading these 'good' reviews exactly? Read this and weep.

Well unless he can show us what good is it? Deal is irrelevant if no body else can get it, this is an ok price deal not great but ok and chances are I shop for components on a more regular bases then yourself.
Any one recommend a decent and economical AM3+ motherboard for this or FX6300 (needs to support crossfire at a decent rate also)
