Good price. Shame these seem to be mostly a slightly overclocked rebrand of the 2000-series chips. We’ll have to wait longer for Zen 2 7nm APUs.
Hoping we might see the 3700x with 20% off.

Just nabbed a 2700x a few hours ago.
Was looking at the price for a new and noticed 1 on warehouse deals....
Impulse buy but worth for the £171 ish I paid for it after discounts.
Not bad for 8 core 16 threads.
Now hoping it turns out to be ok...

Don't think that will happen, they're flying off shelves and brand new. Trying to hold out myself but slowly losing to the urge to upgrade.

I doubt it will happen but seeing the new AMD GPUs included in the eBay 20% offer gave me a bit of hope.

I don't even need to upgrade, I have a 2600 but the 3700x would do me for a good 3/4 years

The only thing holding me off is the lack of stock, my self control went ages ago!

You mean not a slab of concrete someone has slipped in the box or an Athlon with a heatspreader re-engraved! Someone did a bait and switch on me with Amazon and a 1070 last year...

I think AMD are focussing on the CPUs only for now as they’re the high margin parts. They’ve totally shaken the market up and good for them, it’s about time Intel pulled their finger out, rather than keep recycling Skylake which was and is a good architecture... when it launched 4 years ago

Ok, I'm a total noob with PC components these days... So if I got one of these and say a B450 Motherboard, I could get away with playing some older games on it without the need for a dedicated graphics card? Looking to game on a (small) budget, playing stuff like Dirt 3, Grid 2, F1 2015 etc...

Thanks. Tempting but due to ebuyers scummy tactics of raising the price I would rather wait. It wont be long before theres a genuine 20% discount, if not over the course of this week, black friday isnt too far away.
The only reason I'd pick this up over a 2600 for extra 25 quid is if you wanna play some steam games at low quality. The 12 thread 2600 otherwise is better in every aspect
Its all good but hardly any good deals for motherboard and RAM for Ryzen

Well, if Black Friday is not far away, I would say even Ryzen 4000 is imminent LoL

I only got my 2600 in February so there's no rush really. But if a good, genuine 20% off deal with out a price increase before hand occurs, I may invest.

And the 4000 series is just around the corner but the 5000 series is close on its heals.
This is insane value for what it can do. A mid range gaming pc is becoming so affordable.

Tip. I bought a 2600 off the warehouse used. The heat sink didn’t have thermal paste and the listing didn’t state this. I queried this and they gave me 20% back to buy some thermal paste and aid customer satisfaction.

Thanks mate. I will be sure to check for any "imperfections" a further discount of upto 20% would be great. For now I am just hoping it's not DOA.

Again thanks for tip.
